Glidden Ralston nearly had their first win of the season, before having their second game of the week, slip away late. The Wildcats led 11-1 in the 4th after scoring seven runs in the top 4th. The Chargers added a run in the bottom 4th, giving themselves a little life. Things began to slip away for Glidden Ralston in the 5th with ACGC scoring 3-runs, pulling within 11-6. Glidden Ralston didn’t extend the lead in the top 6th. The Chargers drew 4 walks and got one hit, pulling within 11-7. The bases were loaded, with one out. Glidden Ralston made a pitching change, and the Chargers used a pair of hits and walk, cutting the deficit to 11-10. The bases were still loaded, and Glidden Ralston made another pitching change. The momentum had swung by this point and ACGC scored the tying run on an error, then scored on a wild pitch to take the lead. Glidden Ralston tried to rally in the top 7th, getting a runner to 3rd-base with one out but weren’t able to score.
The Wildcats dropped to 0-3 on the season and will host South Central Calhoun on Monday.
