Kuemper scored a pair of runs in the 6th inning, rallying for a 3-2 in over LoMa. The Panthers struck first, scoring in the 2nd inning, using a walk and an error to score on a base hit. Kuemper responded in the 3rd, getting back-to-back singles from Aaron McDermott and Max Schon. McDermott scored on a fielder’s choice from Logan Sibenaller. The Panthers went back up in the 5th, getting a single and a pair of stolen bases. Ethan Loew picthed well for Kuemper, allowing 7 hits, 2 runs and 1 earned run. He slowed them down the rest of the game, getting help from his defense. The Knights tagged a runner out at thome on a pickle in the 6th and worked through a bases loaded situation in the 7th. Max Irlmeier started the rally in the 6th for Kuemper, reaching on an error, scoring on a base hit from Josh Langel. Tristan Janson came in to run for Langel and scored the game winning run.
The Knights improve to 2-0 on the season and will host Webster City
