Girls Regional Golf Results Friday, May 12th

Kuemper At Red Oak At Red Oak Country Club- Class 2A Region 2A

Kuemper advances to the Regional Final at the Carroll on Wednesday, winning at Red Oak with a 402. The Knights had two girls in the top 10, including Medalist Addy Beiter, who shot an 85. They topped Red Oak and Clarinda which both shot a 411, advancing as well to the Regional Final. Red Oak ended up 2nd with the 5th scorer tie-breaker. Mary Stephens of Underwood took 2nd with a 91, followed by Taylor Rasmussen of Clarinda (92), Adelia Lydon of Red Oak and Brynn Knaus of Red Oak both shooting 92’s and Elsa Tiefenthaler of Kuemper taking 6th place with a 94. Grace Tigges added a 103 in 11th place and Ella Pick shot a 120, finishing in 26th place.

Roland Story, Van Meter and Des Moines Christian advanced from Region 2B and will compete Wednesday at the Muni.

Audubon At IKM-Manning Class 1A Region 1B

IKM-Manning claims the Regional title with Audubon sending Kali Irlmeier into Wednesday’s Regional Final at Crestwood Hills At Anita. The Wolves rolled to another win, shooting a 400 with Kylie Peters earning Runner-Up Medalist with a 88. Irlmeier finished with a 94 for the Wheelers with Reese Snyder of CAM Anita (97), Cara Ohl of Loma (100) and Alexis Narmi of St Albert (101) also advancing as individuals. LoMa advances as the 2nd place team with a 444 and Riverside also advances in 3rd place with a 446. Audubon only had three golfers and didn’t post a team score.

Ella Richards finished with a 102, Megan Williams shot a 103 and Maeve Nielsen finished with a 107 for the Wolves. Mari Gleason had a 130 and Samantha Warnaca added a 156 for Audubon.

Other teams advancing to Wednesday include Alta-Aurelia, Kingsley Pierson and West Monona out of Region 1A and Sidney, Southwest Valley and Essex from Region 1C.

Glidden Ralston At Aurelia Golf Course At Aurelia- Class 1A Region 1A

Glidden Ralston didn’t advance as a team, finishing 6th with a 472, but Addy Boell continued her strong season with an 88 to take Medalist honors, advancing to the Regional Final on Wednesday at Crestwood Hills At Anita. Alta-Aurelia claimed the title with a 397, advancing as a team along with Kingsley Pierson (404) and West Monona (417). Maggie Bloom of Alta-Aurelia was Runner-Up Medalist with a 94, advancing along with Jordyn Sitzmann of Kingsley Pierson (95), Chleo Elston of Alta-Aurelia (96), Kylie Kepford of Boyer Valley (96) and Sage Minnihan of West Monona (96).

Elizabeth Lloyd shot a 113 for Glidden Ralston, Amelia Garrett added a 126 and Summer Toms had a 145.

IKM-Manning, LoMa and Riverside advanced from Region 1B and Sidney, Southwest Valley and Essex moved on from Region 1C and will golf in Anita on Wednesday.

East Sac At Holstein Country Club- Class 2A Region 1B

The season came to an end of the East Sac girls on Friday, though they played well with Sidney Bieret just missing advancing as an individual. She finished with a 96, in 7th place and missed qualifying by 1 stroke. She wasn’t the only Raider to shoot well with MaKenna Steiger and Kendall Quirk both shooting 105 and Ella Wilson and Sophia Villegas both adding 109’s. Pocahontas Area won the meet with a 380, advancing along with Hinton which shot a 381. Kendra Casey of Sioux Central was Medalist with an 80. Runner-Up Medalist was Carly Janssen of Pocahontas Area with an 88. Also advancing as individuals were Nicole Panbecker of Pocahontas Area (88), Ashlyn Kramer of Hinton (91), Julie DeVos of Cherokee (95) and Addison Kovarna of Hinton with a 95. Central Lyon, West Lyon and Western Christian advanced from Region 1A.

South Central Calhoun At Riverbend Golf Course At Roland Story- Class 2A Region 2B

The Titans season finished up with a 5th place finish on Friday at Riverbend. The Titans shot a 436, edging SE Valley for the 5th spot. Roland Story was the Regional champ with a 370 and advanced along with Van Meter 389 and Des Moines Christian with a 436. Sam Stuart led the Titans with a 99, followed by Charissa Nowatzke (105), Mia Babcock (113) and Adlen Wheelock (119).

Brinley Carlson of Roland Story was Medalist with an 81. Also advancing was Makenna Carlson of Roland Story (87) and Runner-Up Medalist, Courtney Lathan of Des Moines Christian (92), Josie Bemis of Van Meter (92), Olivia French of Iowa Falls-Alden (94), Sawyer Morrical of Clarion Goldfield-Dows (96) and Danielle Jones of Van Meter (96).

Kuemper, Red Oak and Clarinda advance from Region 2A and will also golf at the Carroll Muni in the Regional Final on Wednesday.
