Girls Track Results for Monday, May 8th
Ar-We-Va, Glidden Ralston, and South Central Calhoun at East Sac
With state qualifying meets on the horizon, Ar-We-Va, Glidden Ralston, and South Central Calhoun traveled to East Sac to compete on Monday. All four teams finished next to each other in the standings. Glidden Ralston finished just inside the top five in fifth place with 52 points, followed by South Central Calhoun with 46 points, East Sac with 43 points, and Ar-We-Va with 22 points.
Glidden Ralston was able to come away with two champions and five top-two finishes. Vanessa Koehler was able to win the 100-meter dash with a winning time of 13.04. Teammate Kassidy Wenck was able to secure a third-place finish with a time of 13.25. Koehler also finished second in the high jump with a best jump of 5-02.00. Tiela Janssen got herself a second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:13.79. Janssen, Koehler, and Wenck were joined by Ashtyn Klocke in the 4X100 relay where the team won the event with a time of 53.34.
South Central Calhoun rounded out their day with eight top-five performances. Keira Hammen had another big day in the field events, capturing gold in the discus event with a winning throw of 100-09 and second in the shot put with a best throw of 37-03.50. Teammate Ashley Schleisman finished second overall in the discus with a throw of 97-10. Three other individuals also finished well in their events. Samantha Potts finished fourth overall in the 1500-meter run with a final time of 6:23.54. Emma Myers was able to secure a fourth-place finish with a time of 1:07.57. Jayci Graeve was able to finish fifth overall in the 100-meter dash with a time of 29.11.
In the relay events, the sprint medley relay, composed of Lacey Martin, Nicole Meyer, Morgan McChesney, and Katie Burley, finished in fifth with a time of 2:16.05. In the distance medley relay, Martin, Meyer, Potts, and Iris Melody finished in fourth place with a time of 5:16.75.
For the East Sac Raiders, the 4X100 relay, composed of Jen Aschinger, Elena Valenza, Madison Meister, and Mary Bontrager, had the best finish among the Raiders finishing second overall with a time of 54.21. Two other relays were able to finish in the top three. The 4X400 relay, composed of Jordin Carroll, Aschinger, Bontrager, and Olivya Mack, were able to finish in third place with an official time of 4:39.06. In the sprint medley relay, Aschinger, Kierstin Carroll, Jordin Carroll, and Bontrager were also able to finish third overall with a time of 2:03.43. Mack’s top individual performance was in the 400-meter hurdles where she finished third overall with a time of 1:15.81.
Ar-We-Va’s Maggie Ragaller had two top performances at Monday’s meet. She was able to finish third overall in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.30 and was part of the second-place finishing shuttle hurdle relay, along with Jamie Hausman, Elizabeth Brunner, and Amber Ragaller, who finished with a time of 1:10.27. Hausman was also able to finish fifth overall in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.79. The 4X200 relay team, composed of Sara Melton, Allison Skinner, Maggie Berns, and Noelia Gonzalez, finished fifth overall with a final time of 2:21.14.

Audubon at Tri-Center
The Audubon Wheelers were able to fit in one final track meet before their state qualifying meet on Thursday as they traveled to Tri-Center on Monday. The Wheelers as a team finished sixth overall with 51 points. Treynor were the ultimate winners with 111 team points.
The Wheelers ended up with one champion and nine top five finishes. Madison Steckler was able to win the 100-meter dash with a winning time of 12.84. She also joined Anna Larsen, Michelle Brooks, and Mattie Nielsen in the 4X200 where the relay team finished third overall with a time of 1:54.00. Nielsen also had a top individual finish where she finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with an official time of 28.92.
Kadence Sporrer was able to finish well in the middle-distance events. She was second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.88 and 800-meter run with a time of 2:35.90. Teammate Stefi Beisswenger finished fourth overall in the 800-meter run with an official time of 2:38.45. Two other top individual finishes include Emily Foran who finished fifth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:34.26 and Alexis Obermeier in the discus event where she finished fourth overall with a best throw of 96-07.
One other relay team was able to place in the top five. The distance medley relay team, composed of Kerrigan Larsen, Jackie Hernandez, Jordan Mulford, and Payton Gust finished in fourth with a final time of 5:37.25.

IKM-Manning at Boyer Valley
The IKM-Manning Wolves were among three top teams at Boyer Valley Monday as they finished with plenty of top relay finishes. As a team, the Wolves finished with 139 team points, behind meet winner West Monona who ended up with 192 points. Boyer Valley finished third behind IKM-Manning with 137 team points.
The Wolves ended up with two champions on the day. Amber Halbur was able to secure the win in the long jump event with a best jump of 15-02.25 which was a season best. Anna Stangl finished right behind her with a best jump of 14-06.00. The other champions were in the 4X200 relay where Taylor Beckendorf, Madelyn Snyder, Grace Carroll, and Hannah McKinney won the event with a winning time of 1:55.29, a new personal best by nearly a seecond.
Four runners from IKM-Manning ran the distance events well. Raegan Garrison finished second in the 3000-meter run with a time of 13:42.69, followed by Emily Albertsen in third place with a final time of 13:42.77. In the 1500-meter run, Julianna Stribe finished second with a time of 5:39.38 followed by Emmie Ring in third place with a time of 5:48.57. The best performances of the day for the Wolves came in the relay events.
The Wolves finished in second place in the sprint and distance medley relays, the 4X100, 4X400, and 4X800. In the sprint medley relay, Mabel Langel, Audrey Menough, Ring, and Karlee Arp finished with a time of 2:06.53. Menough, Alikxa McGinn, Hannah McKinney, and Garrison composed the distance medley relay where they finished with a time of 5:01.14. Lengel, Menough, and Stangl were joined by Emma Branning in the 4X100 where the relay team finished with a time of 59.27. In the 4X400 relay, Laynie Gawley, Kaitlynn Speolstra, Samantha Doyel, and Nuria Bachhofer finished with an official time of 5:08.85. Finally, the 4X800 team, composed of Stangl, Spoelstra, Carroll, and McKinney, finished the race with a time of 12:23.69.
