Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Five Area Boys Golf Teams Played in Tournaments Saturday

Boys Golf Results Saturday, April 29th 

Carroll and Kuemper At Storm Lake Invite At Lake Creek 

Kuemper had two golfers in the top 6, helping the Knights claim the team title on Saturday in Storm Lake. They shot a 315, topping Spencer, which shot a 321 to finish in 2nd place. Carroll had all six golfers within 8 strokes of each other, taking 7th place with a 366. Maverick Schwabe of Kuemper put on a show, winning Medalist by 7 strokes over Charlie Dvergsten of Storm Lake, who finished with a 77, tied with Trevor Cooke of Spencer.

Maverick Schwabe shot a 70 to earn Medalist for the Knights while Carter Putney added a 79 and took 6th place. Dawson Billmeier and Braxton Vonnahme both shot 83’s and took 14th and 15th respectively.

Wyatt Ragaller paced the Tigers with an 89, taking 30th place with Miles Bogue in 31st place with a 90. Bryce Berlau finished with a 92 in 37th place and Wade Ragaller shot a 95 and was 44th place.

Coon Rapids Bayard, East Sac and South Central Calhoun At OA-BCIG Tournament At Ida Grove 

South Central Calhoun led three area teams at the OA-BCIG Tournament on Saturday, shooting a 343, good for 3rd place. Coon Rapids Bayard took 6th place with a 352 and East Sac was 9th in a 389. OA-BCIG won their own tournament in Ida Grove with a 312 and Kingsley Pierson was 2nd with a 333. The Titans had Justin Hanks in  the top 10, shooting in the 70’s. Two other Titans finished in the 80’s and one was in the 90’s. Gavin Heiderscheit of Coon Rapids Bayard shot and 83, one of two Crusaders in the 80’s. Their other two scores were in the low 90’s. The Raiders had a pair of guys in the 80’s with one in the 90’s and the final golfer in the 100’s.

Justin Hanks led the Titans and finished in the top 10 with a 79. He was followed by Bryan Steig with a 83, Charlie Nattress with a 88 and Caleb Gaffney with a 93.

The young Crusaders were led by Gavin Heiderscheit with a 83, Max Shirbroun with a 86, Toby Benninger with a 90 and Jacob Estrade added a 93.

Carter Hogrefe and Bradyn Burns paced the Raiders with 88 and 89 respectively. Jack Gullett added a 97 and Chase Brockman finished with a 115.
