Boys Golf Results Friday, April 28th
East Sac and GTRA At Newell Fonda
The Raiders battled tough conditions on Friday at Newell in a triangular at the Newell Municipal Golf course. The Raides were originally scheduled to be at home but moved the meet when they were able to add a team. East Sac took 3rd with a 190 while Newell Fonda won with a 165 and GTRA added a 173. Mason Dicks of Newell Fonda was Medalist, shooting a 38 and his teammate Guyson Lyman was Runner-Up Medalist with a 41. The Raiders had three golfers in the 40’s, led by Carter Hogrefe with a 44 and Bradyn Burns and Jack Gullet both shot a 46. Chase Brockman added a 54. The Mustangs received the 38 from Dicks, along with their other five golfers being in the 40’s.
The Raiders head to Ida Grove for the OA-BCIG Tournament on Saturday.

Justin Hanks won Runner-Up Medalist honors for South Central Calhoun but the Titans were edged by the host school on Friday a day before the two teams play in the OA-BCIG tournament at Ida Grove. The Titans shot a 164 with Hanks finishing with a 38 and their other five golfers in the 40’s. The Falcons got the edge with two golfers in the 30’s, including Medalist Axton Miller, who shot a 37. Their other two golfers, whose scores counted both shot low 40’s. Bryan Steig and Charlie Nattress both shot 40 for South Central Calhoun and Merle Stauter added a 46.

Glidden Ralston At SE Valley
The Wildcats finished 5th in a strong field on a cold and windy Friday at the SE Valley tournament on Friday. The Wildcats shot a 227 with Manson NW Webster edging Greene County for the team title 174-177. Carson Peters paced the Wildcats with a 46, placing 9th overall. Jack Hansen of Greene County earned Medalist with a 40 and Aiden Kathman was Runner-Up Medalist with a 42. Kathman was one of three golfers to shoot 42 with three more finishing with a 45 in a right race atop the standings. Manson NW Webster had two players in the top 4 and placed all four golfers whose scores counted in the top 9. John Whitver added a 57 for Glidden Ralston while Ethan Olberding finished with a 60 and Colby Wallace and Blayce Nelson both added 64’s.

The coldness of early spring plagued the IKM-Manning home meet Friday as they hosted Audubon. The Wheelers got a big win over the Wolves with a score differential of 178 to 210.
The Wheelers brought home both top individual honors with Edward Miller winning medalist honors with a score of 42 and Evan Alt crowned runner-up medalist with a score of 43. Oliver Deist and Henry Burr kept up the low scores for Audubon with scores of 45 and 48 respectively.
The Wolves were led by Josh Walker who ended the day with a score of 47. Zander Richards and Carson Woebke finished next to each other with scores of 53 and 54 respectively. Devyn Sander rounded out the top four scorers for IKM-Manning with his score of 56.
The Wolves are back in action on Monday, May 1st when they travel to LoMa while the Wheelers are at another Western Iowa Conference meet along with IKM-Manning on Wednesday, May 3rd at Nishna Hills Golf Club.
