Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: All Eight Area Girls Golf Teams in Action Monday

Girls Golf Results for Monday, April 24th, 2023

Carroll and ADM at Bondurant Farrar

 

The Carroll Tigers had a lengthy road trip Monday as they traveled to take on Bondurant Farrar and ADM in a triangular. The Tigers ended up in the middle of the pack with a score of 228. ADM was the meet winner with a score of 181 and Bondurant Farrar finished last with a score of 245. 

Carroll’s Delaney Schurke finished just a bit higher than her current nine-hole average as she finished with a score of 53. Makalei Kofron was next up for the Tigers with a score of 57, also finishing with a slightly higher score than her average of 54. Emma Hoffman and Ella Perry rounded out the top scorers for the Tigers with the same score of 59. 

Carroll is back in action on Saturday, April 29th when they compete at the Kuemper Invitational.

      Kuemper at Panorama Invite

       

      The Kuemper Knights had a solid showing at the Panorama Invite Monday. The Knights had great weather conditions that helped them with a second-place finish with a team score of 217, behind meet winner Roland Story who ended up with a score of 186.

      Addy Beiter and Elsa Tiefenthaler continued to lead the way for the Knights, with Beiter finishing third overall individually with a score of 45 and Tiefenthaler sixth overall with a score of. 51. Makenna Carlson and Brinley Carlson of Roland Story captured medalist and runner-up medalist honors respectively with scores of 40 and 41. Grace Tigges had a solid outing at this meet with a score of 52. Ella Pick and Kendra Stork rounded out the Kuemper scores both ending the day with scores of 69. 

      The Knights are back on the course on Wednesday, April 26th when they compete at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course for the CYO Tournament.

          The Audubon Wheelers brought only two golfers to their meet against LoMa on Monday but had some positive results. The Wheelers did not have enough golfers to have a team score. LoMa was the overall team winner of the meet with a score of 215. 

          Kali Irlmeier was able to have a positive takeaway from this meet by receiving medalist honors with a score of 48. Steph Schmit from LoMa was named runner-up medalist with a score of 51. Mari Gleason was right around her nine-hole average for the season as she had a score of 58 on the day. The Wheelers are back in action on Thursday, April 27th when they host Griswold.

          AHSTW and Underwood at IKM-Manning

          The IKM-Manning Wolves brought home another team victory along with various individual honors as they took on AHSTW and Underwood Monday. The Wolves won both head-to-head matchups as a team with the Wolves defeating Underwood 202-207. AHSTW did not have enough golfers to have a team score. 

          Kylie Powers was spot on again with an individual score of 41 on the day, capturing medalist honors when compared to the golfers from Underwood and AHSTW. Ella Richards was named runner-up medalist in the AHSTW matchup where she golfed a 53 on the day. Maeve Nielsen too golfed a 53 on the day and kept the low score of IKM-Manning alive. Eryn Ramsey was the last top scorer for the Wolves, ending the day with a score of 55. Megan Williams and Brooke Booth also had great scores on the course with scores of 57 and 59 respectively.

          The Wolves are off until Friday, April 28th when they host Audubon.

          Glidden Ralston and Coon Rapids Bayard at Woodbine

           

          Glidden Ralston and Coon Rapids Bayard traveled to Woodbine for yet another Rolling Valley Conference meet Monday. Only two schools had enough golfers for a team score, being Boyer Valley and Glidden Ralston. The Bulldogs were able to take the win from the Wildcats with a team score of 223-231. 

          Individually, the Wildcats were able to capture an individual honor when Addy Boell was named runner-up medalist with a score of 50 on the day, beating out teammate Elizabeth Lloyd who also had a score of 50 in the playoff for the honor. Reese Snyder from CAM Anita was named medalist with the day’s best score of 45. Amelia Garrett finished the day with a score of 61 followed by Ashtyn Klocke who had a score of 70 to round out the scoring for Glidden Ralston.

          For Coon Rapids Bayard, Gracyn Robbins finished her day on the course with a score of 73 followed by teammate Summer South with a score of 83. 

          Both teams will be off until Tuesday, May 2nd when they are at another Rolling Valley Conference meet, this time at Crestwood Hills Golf Course at Anita with Coon Rapids Bayard hosting.

              East Sac came just one stroke shy of a team victory Monday as they golfed off against Southeast Valley. The Raiders ended the day with a score of 231 overall while the Jaguars were able to best them with a score of 230. 

              Sidney Bieret gave East Sac a bright part of the meet by capturing medalist honors with a score of 48. Her best performance was on hole one where she birdied on the par five. Kendall Quirk was second on the team with a score of 59 while Ella Wildon and McKenna Steiger ended the day with the same score of 62 to round out the top scores for East Sac. Halle Steck of Southeast Valley was awarded runner-up medalist honors with a score of 54. 

              The Raiders are back in action on Tuesday, April 25th when they travel to take on Pocahontas Area.

              The South Central Calhoun Titans had fair weather on Monday as they took on Pocahontas Area. The Titans overall shot well but fell to the Indians 203-223. 

              Individually, the Titans had some nice scores with Sam Stuart leading the way with a score of 51 and was just one stroke shy of being runner-up medalist. Carly Janssen of Pocahontas Area was named runner-up medalist with a score of 50 and Nicole Panbecker also of Pocahontas Area was named medalist with a score of 45. Mia Babcock also had a solid day with a score of 52. Adlen Wheelock and Charissa Nowatzke rounded out the top scores for South Central Calhoun both with scores of 60.

              The Titans are back in action on Thursday, April 27th when they travel for another Twin Lakes Conference quad meet against Southeast Valley, Alta-Aurelia, and Storm Lake St. Mary’s.
