Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: All 8 Area Boys Golf Teams Competed on Monday

Boys Golf Results Monday, April 24th 

Carroll and Kuemper At Denison Schleswig Tournament 

Kuemper finished 2nd with a 322 and Carroll was 8th with a 358 at the tournament on Monday in Denison. Kayden Schon paced the Knights, taking 3rd place overall with a 77. ADM, the team champion with a 313 won medalist and runner-up medalist with Grant Jansen taking medalist with a 73 and Finn Garton shooting a 76. Bryce Berlau of Carroll was 5th with a 79.

The Knights had three golfers in the top 10 with Carter Putney shooting a 81, taking 7th place and Braxton Vonnahme also shooting an 81 and finishing in 9th place. Maverick Schwabe finished out their top four golfers with a 83, finishing in 16th place.

Wyatt Ragaller was the second lowest golfer for Carroll, finishing 30th with a 90, Miles Bogue shot a 91, finishing 34th and Alec Ball was 49th with a 98.

Audubon earned three titles on Monday, winning the team score, medalist and runner-up medalist. The Wheelers beat LoMa 173 to 188. They had five golfers shoot in the 30’s or 40’s while the Panthers finished with four in the 40’s and two in the 50’s. Edward Miller paced the Wheelers with a 38, earning Medalist honors with Oliver Deist shooting a 44, winning Runner-Up Medalist. Evan Alt added a 45 and Henry Burr shot a 46 for the Wheelers.

AHSTW and Underwood At IKM-Manning 

IKM-Manning hosted Underwood and AHSTW for a double dual on Monday, falling in both matches. The Wolves played with four golfers, shooting a 238 while Underwood finished with a 186 and ASHTW notched a 195. Wyatt Buckholt of Underwood was Medalist in the match against the Wolves shooting a 43 while his teammate Danny Stien was Runner-Up Medalist with a 45. Kaden Jorgensen of AHSTW won the Medalist honor in their match with the Wolves, shooting a 48. Nate Jorgensen of AHSTW was Runner-Up Medalist, also shooting a 48.

IKM-Manning had two golfers in the 50’s and two in the 60’s. Josh Walker paced them with a 54, followed by Devyn Sander with a 58. Zander Richards finished with a 62 and Kasche Huehn finished with a 64.

Glidden Ralston and Coon Rapids Bayard At RVC Meet At Coon Rapids 

Coon Rapids Bayard improved to 17-2 in the Rolling Valley Conference, taking home 1st place with a 168 at home on Monday, edging CAM Anita, who shot a 171. The Crusaders were balanced with one golfer in the 30’s and four more in the 40’s. Glidden Ralston played well, taking 5th with a 207. The Wildcats had all four golfers whose score counted in the 40’s.

Gavin Heiderschiet of Coon Rapids Bayard was the Runner-Up Medalist, shooting a 39. Medalist honors went to Chase Jahde of CAM Anita, who shot a 38. Toby Benninger and Jacob Estrada both shot 42 for the Crusaders and Landon Cook had a 45.

Ethan Olberding and Mason Dunn led Glidden Ralston with both shooting a 50. Mark Lensch added a 53 and Carson Peters finished his round with a 54.

Carter Hogrefe earned runner-up medalist honors on Monday but the Raiders fell on the road to the Jaguars. SE Valley shot a 178 while the Raiders finished with a 199. East Sac had two golfers in the 40’s and two more in the 50’s. SE Valley got a 39 from Will Camp, earning him Medalist along with their other three golfers in the 40’s.

Bradyn Burns added a 47 for the Raiders with Chase Brockman shooting a 54 and Carter Erritt a 56.

The Titans kept their roll going on Monday, winning on the road with all six golfers shooting a 48 or better. They swept the Medalist honors with Bryan Steig shooting a 38 for Medalist and Justin Hanks a 41 for Runner-Up Medalist. Pocahontas Area had two golfers shoot a 48 and their other two scores in the 50’s. Caleb Gaffney had a 46 for the Titans with Nik Whipkey and Merle Stauter each shooting a 47 and Brady Schumacher adding a 48 for the Titans.
