Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Kuemper and Carroll Girls were in Action on Friday

Girls Soccer Results Friday, April 21st 

Kuemper At Storm Lake

Kuemper won their second game in a row, topping Storm Lake on the road. They jumped to an early lead, up 4-1 at half. Their aggressiveness on both ends helped with their success. Kuemper took 16 shots on goal, allowing only 4 shots on goal. The defense in front in Caitlin Yetmar was sharp, helping her to a solid night in goal. Catherine Mayhall paced the offensive attack, taking 8 shots on goal, scoring 4 goals while Cierra Pudenz continues to shine, scoring twice on 4 shots on goal. Kyra Wolterman and Lauren Boell each added a goal. Kuemper did a  nice job of moving the ball, getting assists from Catherine Mayhall, Cierra Pudenz, Kyra Wolterman and Lauren Boell.

The win improves Kuemper to 3-4 as they prepare to take on Carroll at the Carroll Athletic Stadium on Monday.

Carroll At ADM

Carroll ran into a strong ADM team on the road, falling behind 6-0 at half, before falling in the 2nd half. The Tigers played better in the 2nd half but ADM but the deficit put them in a hole. Carroll held ADM early in the game, but ADM scored a pair of quick goals that energized their offense. Carroll struggled to keep the ball on their offensive end, getting one shot on goal from Parker Adams. That put a lot of pressure on their defense.

The loss drops Carroll to 1-6 while 11th ranked ADM improved to 4-4. Carroll will take on Kuemper at the Carroll Athletic Stadium on Monday.
