It wasn’t easy but Kuemper picked up a sweep over Harlan on Monday on the road in the Hawkeye 10 Conference. The Knights won singles matches 49-19 and doubles 26-15. They were able to sweep one match, otherwise they controlled most matches winning three singles matches 8-2 and one 8-1 but also had struggles, winning 9-8 and 8-5 in singles. Ella Schwarte in number two singles fought to win 9-8 and 7-3 in the 17th and final game. Sophie Rohe won her number one singles match 8-5. Kaylie Simons continues to impress, winning 8-1 while Sophie Tidgren, Brooke Rohe and Keziah Jansssen all won their singles match 8-2. Kaylie Simons and Keziah Janssen were very impressive in doubles as well. They easily won their doubles match 8-0 while Sophie Tidgren and Brooke Rohe teamed up to win 9-7. That wasn’t the tightest of the doubles matches. Sophie Rohe and Ella Schwarte battled to a 9-8 (7-3) win.

The Knights continue their busy week by hosting Boone on Tuesday.

Sophie Tidgren of Kuemper won 8-2 over Scarlett McGuinness of Harlan 

Brooke Rohe of Kuemper won 8-2 over Sydney Jones of Harlan 

Kaylie Simons of Kuemper won 8-1 over Claire Schmitz of Harlan 

Keziah Janssen of Kuemper won 8-2 over Anastacia Kay of Harlan 

 

Doubles

Sophie Rohe and Ella Schwarte of Kuemper won 9-8 (7-3) over Erica Rust and Sammy Swensen of Harlan

Sophie Tidgren and Brooke Rohe of Kuemper won 9-7 over Scarlett McGuinness and Sydney Jones of Harlan 

Kaylie Simons and Keziah Janssen of Kuemper won 8-0 over Claire Schmitz and Anastacia Kay of Harlan
