The Carroll Tigers played an overall solid game against Carlisle, but time slipped away from them on Monday afternoon.
The Wildcats were a solid team entering this game with a record of 5-1 while the Tigers were looking to snap a loss to Ballard last week. Carroll kept Carlisle at bay for a large portion of the first half until the Wildcats finally struck at the 11:29 point in the first half. Carroll Head Coach Gary MaGill says that shot struck the top post and hit goalie Tanner Heithoff and ultimately went in. Carlisle capped off the first half with two more goals at 10:44 and 6:55. Coach MaGill says his guys were shut out offensively on shots but were able to penetrate the attacking third with some good ball movement but just lost the ball before getting good shots off. The Wildcats kept the offense rolling in the second half with another goal at the 17:46 mark in the half to give them the 4-0 lead. Carroll ran out of time to respond and ultimately fell 4-0 to the Wildcats.
Heithoff on the day ended up with 17 saves in front of the net. The loss drops the Tigers to 2-4 overall on the season. They are at home on Friday, April 21st when they host ADM.
