Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: CRB, Glidden Ralston, and Paton Churdan Boys Track in Action Tuesday

Boys Track Results for Tuesday, April 11th, 2023

Glidden Ralston and Paton Churdan at SE Valley- Class B 

Glidden Ralston had a strong night finishing 3rd with 62 points and Paton Churan continued to see growth with their young team. The Wildcats had a champion and six other 2nd or 3rd place finishes. The Rockets grabbed a top 5 finish. 

Emmett Snyder was the champion for Glidden Ralston, winning the 400 Meters in 54.22. Snyder was also 2nd in the 800 Meters and Jonathan Bergmeier took 2nd in the 400 Hurdles. The Sprint Medley team took 2nd with Lucas Christian, Landon Rohrbeck, Jonathan Bergmeier and Emmett Snyder. Wade Hunter finished 3rd in the Shot Put and Jonathan Bergmeier was 3rd in the Long Jump.  The Wildcats were 3rd in the 4×800 with Landon Rohrbeck, CJ Hilleshiem, Maddox Dirkx and Joe Thelin. Hunter Phoenix took 4th in the 400 Meters for Paton Churdan.

Coon Rapids Bayard at Earlham

The Coon Rapids Bayard Crusaders traveled to Earlham for a warm and windy track meet Tuesday. The Crusaders had a solid showing at the meet, finishing sixth as a team with 59 points and capturing a first-place finish. Des Moines Christian were the eventual winners of the meet with 153.5 points. 

The shuttle hurdle team were the one champions of the meet. Cal Heydon, Lance Clayburg, Parker Hays, and Lucas Obert composed the team that won with a time of 1:06.96. Clayburg also put on a show in the shot put where he finished second overall with a best throw of 44-05.25. Teammate Cal Heydon was able to finish fourth overall with a throw of 42-10.00.

Two other relays for the Crusaders were able to finish in the top five. The 4X200 relay team, composed of Kolby Culbertson, Wyatt Oswald, Hays, and Omar Floyd finished second with a time of 1:35.46. The other top finishing relay was the 4X100 relay where Culbertson, Oswald, Clayburg, and Floyd finished fourth overall with a time of 46.59. Culbertson and Floyd both had a top individual finish outside of their relays. Culbertson finished second in the high jump with a best jump of 5-10.00 and Floyd finished third overall in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.53. 

The Crusaders are back at the track on Friday, April 14th when they travel to Nevada to compete at the Dave Robinson Relays.
