Carroll vs Kuemper at Muni
Carroll 210
Kuemper 215
The Carroll Tiger and Kuemper Knights squared off Monday at the Muni where both teams put up great scores. The Tigers were able to edge out the Knights by five points 210 to 215.
The Tigers went from very windy conditions the day before to a fairly nice day for golf at this meet. Olivia Boes was able to lead the Tigers with a score of 50 and runner up medalist honors. She told Carroll Broadcasting Sports Network she was surprised that she had shot a 50, but she wanted to continue to push that score lower and lower. Ashlee Danner wasn’t too far behind with a 51 and Delaney Schurke was able to snag a 52. Schurke told Carroll Broadcasting Sports Network that her putting and short-range shots need some work, but her goals are to shoot a 40 by season’s end. Emma Hoffman rounded out the top four for Carroll with a score of 57.
Kuemper’s Addy Beiter, in her first varsity golf meet ever, was able to secure the medalist crown with a score of 41. The freshman told Carroll Broadcasting Sports Network that she’s happy with this score and after the nervous jitters from the first hole left, she was focused. The other three golfers for Kuemper, Grace Tigges, Ella Pick, and Kendra Stork, all shot a 58 on the day.
Up next for both teams, the Knights are back on the course on Monday, April 10th at Atlantic to take on Atlantic and Denison Schleswig. Carroll will be at home on the same day when they host Ballard.
