Boys Track Results Tuesday, March 28th

Carroll At Nevada- Class A

Carroll finished in fifth with 291 points at a strong meet in Nevada on Tuesday. There were eight teams in the Class A portion of the meet and every place scored points in each event. The Tigers finished with one championship and seven other events that finished in the top 5. Their best events were relays, showing their depth.

Ryan North had another great night, winning the 3200 Meters in 10:32.13 and taking 2nd place in the 1600 Meters. The Shuttle Hurdle team with Carter Smith, Maddox White, Carson Tedrow and Owen Klocke finished in 2nd place. Carroll also took 2nd in the 4×200 with Jake Jorgensen, Trey Hunter, Reece Ziegmann and Jack White along with the 4×100 with Austin Tigges, Jack White, Jake Jorgensen and Reece Ziegmann. Trey Hunter was 3rd in the High Jump.

Ar-We-Va, Audubon, Coon Rapids Bayard, IKM-Manning, Kuemper and Paton Churdan At Audubon Early Bird

There were no team scores kept at the Early Bird meet in Audubon but all six of our local schools performed well during a very well run meet that moved along quickly on a comfortable night. IKM-Manning had the best night overall with four champions and ten other events that finished in the top five. Kuemper added a pair of champions and finished in the top five in seven more times. Audubon had the area schools final champion  along with finishing in the top five-five more times. Coon Rapids Bayard was strong with seven events finishing in the top five and Ar-We-Va added two more events in the top five. Paton Churdan ran three freshman and all three competed well. IKM-Manning had a lot of success in distance events while Kuemper was strongest in field events and were solid in relays. Coon Rapids Bayard showed their depth and strength in sprinting events. Audubon had success in hurdle events and a distance race.

Caden Keller took home a title for IKM-Manning in the 3200 Meters (10:07.16) as the Wolves went 1st and 2nd with Reed Hinners finishing second. They added another title in the 4×800 in 8:48.88 with Lane Sams, Ben Ramsey, Abe Polzien and Hunter Smith. Their third title came in the Distance Medley (3:59.09) with Eli Dreyer, Ross Kusel, Hunter Smith and Caden Keller. Keller picked up his second individual title, winning the 1600 Meters in 5:14.83. Reed Hinners was 2nd in the 1600 Meters, and Lane Sames was third in the 800 Meters.  Ross Kusel was second in the High Jump, Lane Sams was second in the 800 Meters. IKM-Manning took third in the 4×100 with Eli Dreyer, Ross Kusel, Cooper Irlmeier, Davis Rasmussen.

Ben Gerken picked up a win for Kuemper, taking home first in the High Jump at 6-00 and nearly clearing 60-2. Evan Adams was dominant in the Discus, winning by over ten feet with his best throw at 154-06. Adams finished second in the Shot Put, Gerken was third in the Long Jump as those two had really good days in the field events. The Knights took second in the 4×100 with Logan Sibenaller, Ben Gerken, Chris Mohr and Davis Rasmussen.

Zeke Konkler won the 800 Meters for Audubon with a time of 2:10.34, winning a very tight race with three guys within .6 of a second. The Wheelers took third in the Shuttle Hurdle with Aaron Olsen, Manny Beisswenger, Brody Schultes and Gabe Jensen.

Coon Rapids Bayard had Lance Clayburg finish in second in the Discus and in third in the Shot Put. The Crusaders finished in second in the 4×200 with Kolby Culbertson, Ethan Bauer, Parker Hays and Omarion Floyd.

Wyatt Ragaller of Ar-We-Va finished fifth in the 400 Hurdles and the Rockets took fourth in the Distance Medley with Wyatt Ragaller, Devon Ehlers, Johnathan Riesselman and Blayne Smith.

Paton Churdan top finishers were Phoenix Hartman taking 14th in the Long Jump and was 15th in the 800 Meters.

Glidden Ralston at Woodbine

The Glidden Ralston track team got their 2023 season started off at the Rod Smith Coed Track Invite at Woodbine Tuesday. The Wildcats had one champion and five events finish in the top six.  Emmett Snyder got a win in the 800 meter, running a 2:09.48. Nico Pena finished fifth in the 1600 meter run. Glidden Ralston received a strong run from the 4×800 team, taking 3rd place with Nico Pena, Landon Rohrbeck, Joe Thelin and Emmett Snyder. 

Glidden Ralston is back in action on Tuesday, April 4th when they are at the Kip Janvrin Co-ed meet in Panorama.
