South Central Calhoun did exactly what they needed to, getting out to a quick start and putting the game away early. The Titans were outstanding on the offense end, hitting 30-48 shots including 14 of 28 from beyond the arc. They did a nice job sharing the ball with 18 assists but did turn the ball over 19 times. They built a 23-9 lead at the end of the 1st quarter and pushed it to 36-21 by half. As they have done a lot this season, they were sharp coming out of the locker room, outscoring the Bulldogs 23-14 in the 3rd quarter.

The Titans had four players in double figures with Eli Wheelock leading the way with 22 points while Riley Batta finished with 17 points. Joe Clark chipped in 12 points and Keegan Soard added 10 points. Soard and Clark led the Titans with 7 rebounds and Batta pulled down 5 rebounds. Batta had a team  high 4 assists and Eli Wheelock and Tyler Lightner each had 4 steals as the Titans finished with 14 steals.

The win improves South Central Calhoun to 17-4. They take on Sioux Central at Storm Lake on Tuesday on KIKD 106.7.

IKM-Manning trailed by 6 in the 4th quarter before AC/GC went on a 9-0 run to blow the game open, then used another 8-3 run to end the game to stretch the lead. The Wolves kept battling back but AC/GC had an answer for every Wolves run. The Chargers started the game quickly, getting out 15-3, but IKM-Manning fought back, using a nice run late in the 1st quarter to go from down 24-14 to 24-22 heading to the 2nd quarter. The 2nd quarter started well for the Wolves, tying the game at 26 and 32. The Charges took control late in the half with a 9-0 run, but IKM-Manning fought back with a 6-0 run to end the half down 41-38. AC-GC stretched the lead in the 3rd, up 53-40. The Wolves pulled tight again, getting within 56-54 near the end of the 3rd but AC-GC scored before the quarter ended and led 58-54 heading to the 4th quarter. IKM-Manning was down 61-56 early in the 4th before the Charges put the game away with a 9-0 run. The Charges knocked down 14-3’s.

Ross Kusel had a huge night on offense with 32 points to go with 5 rebounds and a pair of blocks. Caden Keller added 15 points and nearly had a double-double with 9 rebounds. Ben Ramsey added 12 points and a team high 8 assists while pulling down 5 rebounds.

The loss ends the Wolves season at 14-10.
