Carroll Boys At State Meet At Iowa City
The Carroll Boys had a good day in Iowa City cutting time in two of the three events they competed in. The 200 Medley Relay team took 15th place, cutting .03 of their best time this season, lowering their own school record to 1:40.85. Kyle Sundrup, Leegan Sease, Ty Thomas and Tristan Blair competed in the first event on Saturday. Sease came back midway through Saturday’s session, swimming in the Fly. Sease had qualified for the consolation heat on Friday night in 12th place. He finished 16th on Saturday, swimming a 53.75.
The 400 Free Relay was the final event of the State Tournament, featuring Jacob Greving, Tristan Blair, Kyle Sundrup and Leegan Sease. They finished 23rd place, swimming a 3:22.26 which is nearly 2.78 seconds faster than their seed time.
