Paton Churdan got out quick, leading 6-0, then led 13-10 at the end of the 1st quarter on a buzzer beater from Cayden Stream. Glidden Ralston settled in as the 1st half went on, holding the Rockets scoreless in the 2nd quarter, then picking up the pressure and speed of the game in the 3rd. They created a bunch of steals in the 3rd, turning them into points, opening up their lead by out scoring the Rockets 31-9. Cayden Stream had all of the Rockets points in the 3rd with 3-3’s. Glidden Ralston led by as many as 31 in the 4th quarter as they pick up win number 4 and advance to play Ankeny Christian Academy on Monday.
Shaydon Thurman had 8-pionts at half for Paton Churdan, scoring 4 early. He scored to open the game, then scored again after a bucket by Phoenix Hartman. Paton Churdan was attacking the middle of the Glidden Ralston zone and jumped out 6-0. Ethan Olberding put Glidden Ralston on the board, then gave the Wildcats their first lead with a bucket, followed by a three with 1:02 left in the 1st quarter. The Wildcats 9-8 lead was short lived as Shaydon Thurman hit a pair of free throws, putting Paton Churdan up 10-9. John Whitver tied the game with a free throws but Cayden Stream hit a runner from three and the buzzer and Paton Churdan led 13-10 at the end of the 1st quarter. Emmett Snyder scored for Glidden Ralston to open the 2nd quarter, then Charles Schon tied the game at 13 with a free throw. John Whitver put Glidden Ralston up for good with a bucket. The Wildcats held Paton Churdan scoreless in the 2nd quarter, outscoring them 9-0 to take a 19-13 lead at half.
The lead for the Wildcats grew to 25-13 early in the 3rd on a bucket by Emmett Snyder. Cayden Stream, hit the first of his 3-3’s in the quarter but Glidden Ralston kept creating turnovers and scoring with easy buckets on the offensive end. They pushed the lead to 50-22 by the end of the 3rd quarter and led as many as 50-19.
Jonathan Bergmeier led the Wildcats with 14 points while John Whitver had a solid double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Ethan Olberding gave them three guys in double figures with 10 points to go with 4 assists and 5 steals.
Cayden Stream led the Rockets with 15 points, all coming from beyond the arc. Stream added 4 steals. Shaydon Thurman added 11 points and 8 rebounds. Jacob Brus pulled down 6 rebounds and made 3 assists. Phoenix Hartman added 5 rebounds.
The Wildcats improve to 4-18 and will head to Ankeny Christian Academy on Monday. Paton Churdan ends their season at 0-12.

Carroll picked up their second straight win, pulling away in the 2nd half and 4th quarter to avenge a loss from earlier this season. The Tigers were solid defensively all game but struggled to get shots to fall in the 2nd quarter. Carroll led 18-14 at the end of the 1st quarter but scored just 9-points in the 2nd quarter and trailed 29-27 at half. They rebounded in the 3rd quarter, getting a couple big threes from Markus Wagner to lead 46-42, heading to the 4th quarter. Bryce Berlau was clutch for the Tigers in the 4th quarter, knocking down a couple big 3’s. Carroll outscored ADM 20-12 in the 4th quarter, to win going away. Carroll battled foul trouble in the 4th quarter and had to battle through with different lineups.
Three Carroll Tigers scored in double figures with a pair of Tigers close to double figures in a balanced attack. Evan Hammer and Trey Hunter paced the Tigers with 15 points each. Bryce Berlau added 13 points while Markus Wagner added 8 points and Tanner Gotto finished with 7 points. Evan Hammer paced Carroll with 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. Trey Hunter finished with 5 rebound and Tanner Gotto had 6 assists.
Carroll improves to 11-9 overall and 9-7 in the Raccoon River Conference, clinching 4th place in the league. The Tigers end the regular season at home Thursday against Harlan.
