Carroll played really well, especially on defense, holding ADM to 48 points in an overtime game. The offense had moments, doing what they needed to late to get the game to overtime, then controlling the overtime, hitting free throws. Carroll led 11-10 at the end of the 1st quarter and was still up by 1 at half. The game was tight all game but ADM had taken a lead in the 4th quarter. Shay Sinnard drove to the hoop, missing her shot but grabbing her own rebound. She kicked the ball out to Camryn Schable who found Katelyn Aden. Aden attacked the rim with undeer 0:30 remaining and was fouled. She stepped up, hitting both free throws, tying the game. Carroll got a stop on the defensive end, sending the game to overtime. Katelyn Aden hit an early three in overtime and Carroll didn’t look back, knocking down a bunch of free throws. Carroll finished 18-26 from the free throw line helping to offset a cool night shooting from the field. Carroll hit 15-48 shots overall, but just 5-23 from beyond the arc. They did a nice job on the boards, limiting ADM’s second chance opportunities. Carroll finished the game with 12 turnovers and 10 steals.
Katelyn Aden paced the Tigers with 20 points, going 8-8 from the free throw line. She added 5 assists and 2 steals. Shay Sinnard added 13 points and 7 rebounds. Madison Tunning had a great game on defense. Shayne Aschinger had 7 rebounds and 4 steals and Camryn Schable added 5 rebounds.
The Tigers end the regular season on a three game win streak and will host Perry on Wednesday in the opening round of the playoffs. They sit 10-11 on the season.
