The game was very tight into the 2nd quarter when Glidden Ralston went cold and Madrid heated up. The Wildcats trailed by 7 at the end of the 1st quarter, pouring in 12 points. They scored just 3-points in the 2nd quarter while Madrid poured in 27 to lead 46-15. Glidden Ralston botted hard in the 2nd half, getting outscored 24-20.

Emmett Snyder paced the Wildcats with 7 points while Ethan Olberding and Jackson Sklenar each had 6 points.

The loss drops Glidden Ralston to 3-14 on the season and will head to CAM Anita on Friday.

Dominant 2nd half helped carry the Rockets to their 6th win of the season. They held the Panthers to 15-points, scoring more in the 3rd quarter alone. The Rockets played well at times but kept working hard. They trailed by 4 at half after struggling in the 2nd quarter. The defense tightened up after halftime, forcing the Panthers to struggle to score. Offensively the Rockets were solid most of the night.

The Rockets offense was balanced with three players in double figures and two more less than a basket from double figures. Wyatt Ragaller had a game high 19 points along with 4 steals, Emmett Neumann finished with a double-double, scoring 12 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Blayne Smith continues his strong all-around play with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Kyelar Cleveland finished with 9 points and 10 rebounds and Harley Molina had 8 points.

The win improves the Rockets to 6-11 on the season. They head to Paton Churdan on Friday on KIKD 106.7.

Paton Churdan struggled from the field in the 1st half and trailed 37-15 at half. The defense was good in the 1st quarter, holding Colo-Nesco to 11-points but they allowed 26 in the 2nd quarter and another 28 in the 3rd. The Rockets executed better in the 2nd half and were able to get shots to fall.

Three guys scored for the Rockets with all three in double figures. Cayden Stream paced them with 17 points, Shaydon Thurman added 13 points and Phoenix Hartman had 10 points.

The Rockets fall to 0-8 on the season. They host Ar-We-Va on KIKD 106.7 on Friday.

Audubon played with good intensity on defense on Thursday, holding CAM Anita scoreless for nearly six minutes in the 4th quarter. The Wheelers created turnovers and got steals in the 4th quarter, helping spark a rally. The offense struggled to get shots to fall, missing several shots at the rim. Cold shooting and turnovers limited them on offense, holding them to between 8 and 11 points all four quarters.

Carson Bauer paced the Wheeler offense with 17 points while Edward Miller finished up with 7 points.

The Wheelers sit 5-14 as they head into Tuesday’s game at IKM-Manning on 93.7 KKRL.

IKM-Manning was able to hold off a hot shooting Bulldog team in the 2nd half, executing on the offensive end and making free throws down the stretch. The Wolves jumped out 15-0 to start the game and led 25-11 after the 1st quarter. They used a 6-0 run late in the 2nd quarter to lead 41-20, grabbing their largest lead of the game. Boyer Valley hit a three to end the half, sparking them in the 2nd half. IKM-Manning was able to score with the Bulldogs in the 3rd, maintaining a 14-point led, though the Bulldogs scored 20-points. Boyer Valley pulled within 8 in the 4th quarter but IKM-Manning knocked down free throws down the stretch.

Three Wolves scored in double figures with three more within a bucket of double figures. Ross Kusel had 19 points and 8 rebounds. Ben Ramsey added 18 points, Reed Hinners finished with 13 points to go with 6 rebounds. Caden Keller had 9 points, Cooper Irlmeier and Lane Sams both had 7 points. Irlmeier added 7 rebounds.

The win improves to 11-8 and will head to LoMa on Friday.

Coon Rapids Bayard played their most complete game of the season, picking up a huge road win against AC/GC. The Crusaders battled foul trouble, but remained patient on offense, getting good looks, even against the Chargers pressure. The offensive moved the ball side-to-side, finishing with 17 assists on 26 made baskets. Coon Rapids Bayard shot 61.9% from the field, though they made only 4-12 from three. The foul trouble forced them to run a zone defense in the 4th quarter, for the first time this season and the kids executed it well, holding the Chargers to 12-points, allowing them to rally from down 47-44 to win. Coon Rapids Bayard outscored the Chargers 20-12 in the 4th with Cal Heydon fouled out and Lance Clayburg in foul trouble.

Cal Heydon led them with 26 points to go with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Cade Behrens finished with 15 points, Lance Clayburg added 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Parker Hays ran the offense well, pacing the Crusaders with 8 assists.

The win evens the Crusaders record at 9-9. They host Boyer Valley on Friday.
