The number one ranked team in Class 3A shot the ball very well at home on Tuesday, jumping out to a 16-0 lead on Carroll. The Tigers struggled from the field and struggled to contain the hot shooting Blue Jays. Bondurant Farrar hit 8-3’s in the 1st half, finishing with 11 for the game. Carroll rebounded in the 1st quarter, after trailing 16-0, they closed out the quarter 9-8. Bondurant kept the pressure on early in the 2nd quarter and led by 27 at half. The loss snapped Carroll High’s two game winning streak, dropping them to 8-8 on the season. The Tigers host Boone on Friday.
Evan Hammer led the Tigers with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Bryce Berlau and Jack White both had 7 points while Payton Wardell added 6 points.

A tough 3rd quarter put the Wheelers behind 41-32. They tried to rally in the 4th quarter, scoring 20 points but LoMa was able to get enough good looks and free throws to hold on down the stretch. The Wheelers had two players in double figures with a third just shy. Edward Miller led the way with 20 points, Aaron Olsen added 13 points and Carson Bauer finished with 9 points. The loss drops the Wheelers to 5-14 on the season.
They host CAM Anita on Thursday.

IKM-Manning used a pair of runs to pull away in the 2nd half, on their way to a comfortable win. The game went back and forth in the 1st half, with five lead changes. Missouri Valley knocked down a three late in the half to tie the game at 21 at half. They used that momentum to hit a three to start the 2nd half but IKM-Manning quickly responded with a 13-0 run and led by 10 heading to the 4th quarter. They held the Big Red to 3 points in the 3rd quarter. Missouri Valley scored to start the 4th but IKM-Manning put the game away with a 10-0 run.
Four players scored in double figures with Ben Ramsey having a team high 18 points, Caden Keller added a terrific double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds along with 7 assists. Reed Hinners hadd 13 points and 5 rebounds and Ross Kussel added 10 points and 7 rebounds.
The win moved IKM-Manning to 10-8 overall. The Wolves head to Boyer Valley on Thursday.

The Titans got a needed win on Tuesday, rolling to their 12th win of the season. South Central Calhoun had dropped two of their last three games but started quickly with 20 points in the 1st quarter. They led by 10 heading to the 2nd quarter, then blew the game open, leading 43-21 at half. South Central Calhoun had been struggling from the field lately, but hit 32 of 59 shots overall and 10 of 26 from three. They did a nice job of sharing the basketball, having assists on 19 of the 32 made baskets.
Eli Wheelock led three guys in double figures with 18 points, Joe Clark finished with 14 points and Keegan Soard finished with 12 points. Gavin Batta and Tyler Lightner each scored 9 points. Cole Higgins led the Titans with 6 rebounds with Joe Clark and Keegan Soard each having 5 rebounds. Tyler Lightner had a team high 6 assists with Eli Wheelock with 5 assists.
The Titans improved to 12-4 on the season and will host Manson NW Webster on Friday.

East Sac used spurts on Tuesday to pick up their 7th win of the season. The 3rd quarter was the difference, outscoring Pocahontas Area 18-6. They led 29-23 at half. The Raiders were 13 of 18 inside the arc, but struggled from the outside, making 9 of 32 shots from three. Sam Julen hit 3-3’s in the 1st half and Aden Vondrak added 2-3’s, helping the Raiders led 29-23 at half. Pocahontas Area was focused on the stopping the Raiders inside game. East Sac struggled defensively, allowing the Jaguars to get to the hoop, creating foul issues for the Raiders. The Raiders lead was trimmed to 2 in the 3rd but East Sac put the game away with a 14-0 run. Sam Julin added a pair of three’s in the run.
Sam Julin led the team with 18 points, all coming from behind the arc, where he went 6-14. Aden Vondrak added 13 points and Ryan Clair finished with 10 points. Clair had a team high 8 rebounds while Vondrak had 7 assists and 7 steals. Julin added 4 steals. Karter Ludwig added 5 assists.
The win improves the Raiders to 7-9 overall. They will host SE Valley on Friday.

It was a tale of two halves for the Crusaders on Tuesday. They turned the ball over in the first half and were cold from the floor. The 2nd half was a different story as they were sparked by Omarion Floyd and Wyatt Oswald. They trailed by 18 with 3:00 left in the 3rd quarter, but pulled within 1 late. The run started when they cut down on turnovers and got a few shots to fall. They hit 6-3’s in the 2nd half. They success on the offensive end, led to increased intensity on the defensive end. They held the Cougars to 2-points over a seven minute stretch in the 2nd half. They had several good looks late but the shots didn’t fall.
Cal Heydon led three players in double figures with 21 points to go with 5 assists. Cade Behrens had 15 points, hitting 5 shots from deep. Lance Clayburg added 10 points and 7 rebounds.
The loss drops the Crusaders to 8-9 overall. They head to AC//GC on Thursday.

Glidden Ralston had success with their zone defense in the 1st half, forcing the ball to stay on the perimeter. The Tigers missed shots in the 1st half and the Wildcats trailed 19-12 at half. Glidden Ralston got good looks in the 1st half but they struggled from the field. They became more aggressive in the 4th quarter, helping them to their best offensive quarter in the game, scoring 14 points. Woodbine stretched the lead in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Wildcats 19-7, opening up a 38-19 lead.
Ethan Olberding paced the Wildcats with 12 points and Jonathan Bergmeier added 8 points.
The loss drops the Wildcats to 3-14 on the season. They travel to Madrid on Thursday.
