East Sac won their second straight and did so in commanding style, pulling away in the 2nd quarter with 28 points. The Raiders hit 39% from the field, shooting better from 3-point range, going 13-26. They had 19 assists on 23 baskets, while picking up 11 steals. East Sac scored in double figures in all four quarters, holding Woodbury Central to single digits in the 1st and 3rd quarters. They built a 42-24 lead at half, outscoring Woodbury Central 28-17 in the 2nd quarter.

East Sac had four players in double figures with Makenna Steiger continuing her hot streak with a team high 17 points, Jen Aschinger added 15 points, Mary Bontrager scored 14 points and Addisen Ehler had 11 points. Steiger added 4 assists, Aschinger had 3 steals, Bontrager had 5 assists and Ehler pulled down 7 rebounds. Kendall Quirk had a team high 8 rebounds and Chloe Bieret added 4 assists.

The Raiders improved to 4-11 overall. They travel to Manson NW Webster on Tuesday.

South Central Calhoun dropped their second straight, falling to into 5th in the Twin Lakes Conference, tied in the loss column with Pocahontas Area, Sioux  Central and West Bend Mallard. The Titans started well, leading by 2 at the end of the 1st quarter but Sioux Central was able to take command, getting to the lane on the dribble drive, controlling the backboards, pulling down a bunch of offensive rebounds, outscoring the Titans 25-8 in the 2nd quarter. The Rebels extended the lead in the 3rd, with South Central Calhoun struggling from the field. The Titans finished the game hitting 15 of 60 shots and 5 of 21 from beyond the arc. They shot the ball well from the free throw line, connecting on 17 of 21. The Titans had 16 turnovers.

Riley Batta hit a free throw, putting the Titans up 1-0, followed by a pair of free throws from Kylee Schleisman. The Titans led 3-0 before Sioux Central knocked down a 3, tying the game at 3. Batta put the Titans back up 5-3 but the Rebels scored the next 4 points, taking their first lead at 7-5. Brenna McAlister tied the game at 7 and Kylee Schleisman hit a 3 moments later, tying the game at 10. The Rebels went up 14-10 but Riley Batta had a three point play and Kylee Schleisman hit another 3, giving the Titans a 16-14 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. Sioux Central hit a 3 to start the 2nd quarter, going up 17-16. The Titans tied the game at 18, but the Rebels went on a 7-0 run, leading 25-18. Brenna McAlister stopped the run with a basket but the Rebels grew their lead to 29-20. Batta pulled South Central Calhoun within 29-23 with a three point play. Sioux Central answered with a 7-0 run, leading 36-23. The Titans got a free throw, cutting the deficit to 36-24 but Sioux Central drained a 3 to lead 39-24 at half.

Riley Batta pulled the Titans within 15 early in the 2nd half but the Rebels kept getting dribble penetration and beating the Titans down the floor off defensive rebounds and turnovers. They went up 58-34, early in the 4th quarter. Bre Patterson hit a 3 in the 4th, pulling the Titans within 61-45 and moments later Riley Batta cut it to 63-49 with a pair of free throws. The Rebels ended the game on a 11-3 run.

Riley Batta paced the Titans with 21 points, she added 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Kylee Schleisman finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Mia Babcock pulled down 6 rebounds and Brenna McAlister added 6 points.

The Titans fall to 10-3 overall and 4-2 in the Twin Lakes Conference. They have four games next week, beginning with a road trip to Emmetsburg on Monday.
