The Carroll Tigers got back into their winning ways as they were able to easily get past ADM Thursday night. The Tigers were able to go 9-3 in matches wrestled, winning the meet 57-16.
Most of the wins for the Tigers came via fall with Carson Tedrow nabbing the quickest pinfall against Carter Madison at 0:38 at 106 pounds. Cael Nelson at 126 pounds had the longest match that ended in pin fall, defeating Grayson Sutter at 3:49. Owen Klocke of Carroll and Ben Smith of ADM went the distance in their match at 152 pounds where Klocke edged out the win with a 5-0 decision. Levi Dirkx, Cooper Ludwig, Jireh Gallegos, Taidyn Peterson, and Drelyen Schweitzer were the other wrestlers for Carroll that scored pin fall victories. ADM’s Jackson Pitzen, Karver Sutton, and Drew Holman picked up wins over their opponents, but none of them were able to win via fall. Jeep Clark against Holman made him work for the win with a 4-3 decision and Michael Rowedder ended his match in a loss with a sudden victory against Pitzen.

Lewis Central and Atlantic at Kuemper
Kuemper had a tough time against Atlantic Thursday night but pulled it all together for a nice win over Lewis Central, going 1-1 on the day in duals. Against Atlantic, the Knights went 3-11 and lost 61-15, while against the Titans, they fared a bit better going 5-6 in matches wrestled and edged out the 36-33 win.
Against Atlantic, Coby Pierce, Jake Smith, and Joe Klein picked up wins. Smith and Klein got fall victories, Smith in the early parts of the first period at 0:21 and Klein at the start of the third period at 4:53. Pierce picked up his victory over Nathan Keiser via sudden victory.
Lewis Central challenged the Knights a fair bit and made them work for their wins. Pierce, and Klein would go undefeated on the day and pick up their second win. Pierce won via fall at 3:22 and Klein got an early fall victory at 0:31. Caleb Hoffman, Nolan Simons, and Will Healy were able to bounce back and pick up wins for the Knights, going 1-1 on the day. Hoffman defeated Daniel Overall via fall at 1:30, Simons got past Paxton Blanchard via a 6-3 decision, and Healy defeated JJ Storey via a 8-4 decision. Along with forfeit victories at 132 and 220 pounds, the Knights were able to squeak past the Titans 36-33.

East Sac, Alta-Aurelia, and GTRA at Kingsley Pierson
The East Sac Raiders had some tough matches Thursday night at Kingsley Pierson as they went 1-2 overall in duals. They were able to get past Alta-Aurelia 45-29 but fell to GTRA 54-24 and meet host Kingsley Pierson 59-18.
They were able to pick up eight wins in matches wrestled and had a few guys end up with solid days overall. Charlie Veit continued to wrestle well for the Raiders, going 2-0 on the day with a fall in the second round at 3:17 and a 5-2 decision. Garrett Ortner and Hutton Pasche both went 2-1 on the day where Ortner got two fall victories via 3:00 and 1:30 and Pasche also won both his matches via fall 3:21 and 3:03. Kaydon Erpelding and Bradyn Burns both were able to pick up a win on the day with Burns going 1-0 winning his match via a 9-5 decision and Erpelding winning via a close 11-8 decision.
East Sac is back on the mats on Saturday, January 14th when they join South Central Calhoun at the Twin Lakes Conference Tournament at Emmetsburg.

The Coon Rapids Bayard Crusaders had a difficult time against West Central Valley and Ogden Thursday night. They were only able to pick up two wins in their matches wrestled, those being against West Central Valley. Johnny Cortez scored a fall victory over Alyc Phippen via fall at 2:14 and Treynor Cose got the second victory via fall at 2:38 against West Central Valley’s Conner Beane. The lone score for the Crusaders against Ogden was a forfeit at 195 pounds.
