Carroll hosted one of the conference favorites on Tuesday, dropping the first six matches to fall behind 34-0. Carroll rallied after that, winning three of the last four matches and five of the last eight to finish the match 5-9. The Tigers picked up four wins by fall and a sudden victory.
Cooper Ludwig was impressive in his win, getting a quick takedown, before winning by fall in the 2nd period. The win put the Tigers on the board. Jireh Gallegos went to work quickly, getting an immediate takedown, then winning by fall at the 0.59 mark. The Tigers won two of the last three matches at that point. Kieran Polking did a nice job for the Tigers at 182, making several nice counters before getting a win by fall. Taidyn Peterson gave Carroll back-to-back wins with a takedown in sudden death after the match was tied at 2 after the 3rd period. Colton Wieland finished off the match with a win by fall in the 2nd period.
