Girls Wrestling Results for Tuesday, January 3rd
Audubon and Kuemper at Carroll
The Audubon and Kuemper wrestling teams traveled to Carroll High for the first wrestling meet of 2023 following the Holiday break.
Carroll was able to get the 2-0 sweep of duals against Carroll and Audubon. Against Audubon, Averi Burke, Kloee Jones, Ayla Nagl, and Emma Grossman all won via fall with Burke winning the quickest at 0:29 against Emily Foran and Jones pinning Stefi Beisswenger at 3:08. Laura McCarville of Audubon picked up the lone win in that dual when she pinned Hailey Vogel at 5:27.
Carroll picked up two fall wins over Kuemper. Julia Kanne won by fall over Kuemper’s Grace Hoffman at 1:11 and Sunny McGowan won via fall as well at 3:08 over Ally Sommerfeld. Kuemper’s lone win came when Sadie Smith defeated Brianna Kiger via an 18-12 decision.
Coming up for all three teams on Saturday, January 7th, Audubon will be at the LoMa Tournament, Carroll is at the Ogden tournament, and Kuemper is at the West Central Valley Tournament
