Kuemper kept their grip on first place in the Hawkeye 10 Conference heading into the break, picking up their seventh straight win. They cruise to a 37-point win on the road. They jumped out quickly, scoring 27-points in the 1st quarter and 48 in the 1st half. As good as Kuemper looked on offense, where they shot 58.6% from the field and hit 10 of 26 from three, they were better on defense. They held St Albert to 14-points in the 1st half, then clamped down, holding St Albert to 9 in the 2nd quarter and led 48-23 at half. Kuemper held St Albert to 32.1% from the field and 4 of 24 from 3-point range. The defense came up with 17 steals, forcing 21 turnovers. They continue to share the ball very well, finishing with 23 assists on 34 made baskets.
Dawson Gifford led three guys in double figures with 20 points, Michael Kasperbauer added 12 points and DJ Vonnahme scored 11 points. Koby Lampman, Ben Gerken and Taye Vonnahme had 8-points, 8-points and 7-points respectively. DJ Vonnahme led the team with 7 rebounds and Taye Vonnahme added 6 rebounds. Carson Kanne had a team highs with 5 assists and 4 steals.
Kuemper sits 7-1 overall heading into the holiday break.

The Carroll Tigers had a big challenge at home Tuesday night as they took on the second ranked Bondurant Farrar Bluejays and gave them an electrifying game from start to finish.
The Tigers were looking to dethrone the Bluejays from the top of the conference and pick up their fifth win of the season. In the first quarter, the Tigers were holding their own after allowing Bondurant Farrar to get up 7-0. Tanner Gotto made his presence known from the start with seven points along with Bryce Berlau making two shots from beyond the arc. The Tigers tied with the Bluejays going into the second half at 15. The three pointers kept coming from both teams as it was a fight to see who could stay ahead of the other. Berlau got another pair of threes, Gotto fired up two three pointers and the Bluejays got three three-pointers in the second quarter. Colby Collison got two in the quarter with Cole Miller adding another. With a few seconds left in the quarter, the ball game was tied at 30 before Miller took a shot from the top of the arc to give the Bluejays the 33-30 lead going into halftime.
Gotto led the Tigers with 15 first half points led closely behind by Berlau who had 12. The Bluejays came back in the second half with a head of steam and couldn’t be stopped. They would get ahead by 12 points at one point in the third quarter before the Tigers started to get back in the game. Jack White started to get some attention underneath the basket with five points added to his total in the third quarter along with Gotto putting up five points as well. Carroll cut down a 12-point deficit down to six points heading into the fourth quarter at 54-48.
While the Tigers were busy tying up other scoring threats such as Collison and Jaxson Fried, Everett White was busy making shots from all over the court. He had two three pointers in the third quarter and was a bully in the paint for the Bluejays. In the final eight minutes, the Tigers got closer to Bondurant Farrar’s lead and cut down the lead to five points at 65-60. But, with only 8.8 seconds left and Reed Pfaltzgraff nailing four free throws in a row, the Bluejays escaped with a close 67-60 victory.
Gotto led the Tigers with 20 points while Berlau was second with 15 points and White added 10. The loss drops the Tigers to 4-3 overall on the season and 2-3 in the Raccoon River Conference. Following the holiday break, the Tigers will be on the road on Tuesday, January 3rd when they take on Boone.

IKM-Manning made enough plays down the stretch to pull out their second straight conference win, heading into the holiday break. The game was tight with 16 lead changes and was tied 5 times. The last lead change came on a Ross Kusel steal and layup in the closing minute which came moments after Ben Ramsey had put them up 58-56 and Dane Janssen hit a three for Missouri Valley to put them up 59-58. IKM-Manning hit two big free throws with 8.1 seconds left but also missed an and one free throw and the front end of a one and one. Both trips could have extended the lead to two possessions.
Reed Hinners scored the first-four points for IKM-Manning, putting them up 4-0. Missouri Valley responded with 4 straight to tie it at 4. Caden Keller hit a pair of free throws and Ross Kusel hit the first of his three 3’s, pushing the lead to 9-4. After another Kusel 3, Lane Sams hit a free throw and the Wolves were up 13-7. Missouri Valley scored 11 of the next 15-points and led 18-17 after the 1st quarter. The Big Red took their first lead at 16-15, but Eli Dreyer made a steal and bucket, putting the Wolves up 17-16. After a Missouri Valley scored just before the buzzer and they led 18-17. The 2nd quarter went back and forth with Missouri Valley building their biggest lead at 31-26. Caden Keller cut it to 31-28, Ben Ramsey scored to trim the deficit to 31-30. A Ramsey 3, put the Wolves up 33-32. Ross Kusel drained his third three of the game to put the Wolves up 36-35 at half.
Missouri Valley started the 2nd half with 5 straight points, going up 40-36. The Wolves trimmed away with buckets from Caden Keller, Reed Hinners and Cooper Irlmeier. Irlmeier scored, tying the game at 47, then Keller put the Wolves up 49-47. Missouri Valley drained a three and led 50-49 heading to the 4th quarter. Ben Ramsey went off early in the 4th, keeping the Wolves out front. He scored to put them up 51-50, extended the lead to 53-50, then Ramsey put the Wolves back up 56-53 with a three after the Big Red tied the game at 53. Missouri Valley tied the game at 56, then Ramsey scored again to make it 58-56. Missouri Valley got a big 3 and led 59-58, they got a stop but Ross Kusel made a steal near half court and scored to put the Wolves up 60-59. An IKM-Manning stop set up a Caden Keller bucket on the break. He was fouled on the play but missed the free throw and the Wolves lead was 62-59. The Wolves made another stop, and Ross Kusel was fouled. He hit both free throws with 8.9 seconds left, making it 64-59. Broady Lager drained a 30-footer with 3.1 seconds left, cutting the Wolves lead to 64-62. Kusel was fouled on the inbound but missed the front end of a one and one. Missouri Valley threw a long pass after a timeout but the ball bounded out of bounds and IKM-Manning prevailed.
The Wolves had four players in double figures, led by Ben Ramsey with 16, Caden Keller added 14 points, Ross Kusel had 13 points and Cooper Irlmeier finished with 11 points. Keller had a team high 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. Ben Ramsey added 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
IKM-Manning Wolves improve to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the Western Iowa Conference. Their home game on Thursday with LoMa is postponed.

Audubon won their second straight road game, closing the first half of the season, winning 2 of their last 3 games. Carson Bauer exploded for 28-points with 17 of those in the 2nd half, including making 7 of 8 free throws after the half. The Wheelers were balanced after that with Edward Miller 10-points, Aaron Olsen scoring 8-points and Collin Bauer had 6-points. The win improves them to 2-6 overall and 2-5 in the Western Iowa Conference. They head into the holiday break with confidence, playing their best basketball in the last week.

East Sac played a clean game for the second game in a row, pulling away from SE Valley for a big win. The Raiders shot the ball well with Karter Ludwig hitting 6 of 7 shots. They used a flurry right before half that put them up 35-22. They won each quarter with the biggest scoring margin in the 4th quarter, outscoring the Jaguars 21-13. The Raiders battled through foul issues, keeping their focus, allowing them to get some good looks. Aden Vondrak and Karter Ludwig knocked down a few clutch 3’s in the 1st half. They shared the ball so well, finishing the game with 7 turnovers and 14 assists. East Sac shot 47.2% from the field including 9 of 20 from 3-point range.
Karter Ludwig had 17 points, Caleb Eichorn had 12 points, Aden Vondrak scored 11 points, Luke Wright finished with 11 pints and Brody Boeckman added 9 points. Ryan Clair had a team high 6 rebounds, Aden Vondrak finished with 7 assists, also leading the team with 4 steals.

Ar-We-Va struggled on both ends of the floor, giving up 20 or more points in each of the first-three quarters while not scoring in double figures in any quarter.
Emmett Neumann had a team high with 8 points along with 6 rebounds. Blayne Smith had 7 points. Tyson Von Glan had 7 rebounds to lead the team.
The loss drops Ar-We-Va to 1-5 overall and 1-4 in the Rolling Valley Conference. They are scheduled to travel to Westwood on Thursday.

Glidden Ralston played their best game of the season on the road against one of the top teams in the league. They had a chance to win late, down by 1 with 14 seconds left. A turnover allowed Woodbine to get a pair of free throws with 6 seconds left. Glidden Ralston set up a play for a full court pass, getting an open look at the buzzer.
The Wildcats came out playing well, building a 6-point lead at the end of the 1st quarter, maintaining the lead at 34-29 at half. They entered the 4th quarter up by 2, but scored 7-points in the 4th quarter. They managed 16-points in the 2nd half. Woodbine only scored 24-points in the 2nd half but outscored the Wildcats down the stretch.
Colby Wallace led the Wildcats with 15 points, Emmett Snyder added 14 points and Ethan Olberding had 9 points.
The Wildcats enter the holiday break at 2-6 overall and 2-4 in the Rolling Valley Conference.
