Carroll came out sharp, taking sharp early on their way to their third win of the season. Carroll scored 20 points in the 1st quarter, then played better in the 2nd quarter, building a 24-point led by half. The Tigers didn’t let up in the 3rd, holding Storm Lake to 9 points. Ten different players scored for Carroll with two guys in double figures.
Evan Hammer led the Tigers with 22 points to go with 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks. Bryce Berlau finished with 19 points and 3 steals. Jack White had 8 points and 6 rebounds and Tanner Gotto scored 7 points while Payton Wardell had 5 rebounds and 7 assists.
The Tigers moved to 3-1 overall. They host Winterset on Tuesday on KKRL.

Kuemper picked up a big road win Saturday, playing a great game, with a number of players stepping up. The Knights offense clicked, hitting 51.2% from the field and56% from the three point line. The Knights attacked the basket as well, getting to the free throw line 22 times, making 16. They limited their turnovers with 14, while creating 14 turnovers with 8 steals. Kuemper had four players score in double figures and assisted on 15 of 21 made baskets. They built a 7-point lead at half, outscoring the Bulldogs 21-14 in the 2nd quarter. The Knights scored with Van Meter in the 4th quarter as the teams combined for 51 points.
Michael Kasperbauer led the Knights with 22 points to go with 6 assists. Brock Badding added 16 points, Dawson Gifford had 14 points and 4 assists and DJ Vonnahme added 11 points and 9 rebounds.
The win improves the Knights to 3-1 overall, extending their winning streak to 3. They head to Atlantic on Tuesday.

The Raiders played well in the 1st quarter, scoring 20 points with Karter Ludwig hitting a pair of threes and Caleb Eichorn and Aden Vondrak both hit a three. The defense held the Falcons to 8-points in the 1st quarter but foul trouble hurt in the 2nd quarter as things swung in the Falcons favor. OA-BCIG worked the ball inside, tying the game at 28 at half. The struggles in the 2nd quarter slide into the 2nd half for East Sac, as they couldn’t find a rhythm on the offensive end, falling behind by 7 heading into the 4th quarter. The defense in the 3rd kept them in the game, holding the Falcons to 12 points.
Luke Wright and Ryan Clair were strong inside but both battled foul trouble and fouled out. Clair had a team high 13 points while Wright added 10 rebounds and 6 points. Karter Ludwig got his shot going, hitting all three of his three point attempts for 9 points.
The Raiders fell to 0-3 on the season. They travel to Pocahontas Area on Tuesday.
