East Sac and South Central Calhoun At ELC
South Central Calhoun and East Sac squared off in Estherville on Tuesday along with both teams wrestling Ridge View and South Central Calhoun taking on host ELC. The Raiders finished the meet 1-1 in duals while the Titans went 1-2. South Central Calhoun knocked off East Sac, going 5-4 in matches wrestled. The Titans had 4 wins by fall and a win by major decision while East Sac won all 4 of their wins by fall. The Titans lost to Ridge View 41-24, going 4-6 in matches wrestled with 2 wins by fall. They dropped their match with ELC 57-21, going 4-7 in matches wrestled with 3 wins by fall. The Titans ended the night 13-17 in matches wrestled with 9 wins by fall and a major decision. Griswold, Shenandoah, and Treynor at Kuemper
The Kuemper Knights were able to go 3-0 as a team Tuesday as they hosted Griswold, Shenandoah, and Treynor and beat all three of those teams.
Overall on the day, the Knights went 12-12 in matches wrestled. The Knights defeated Griswold 72-6, got a solid win over Shenandoah 39-29, and finally got past Treynot 45-22. Riley Parkis was one of the stars for the Knights as he not only picked up three pins on the day but also his 100th win in his high school career. Will Healy was right with Parkis with three victories at their home meet, winning two via decision and another by fall. Caleb Hoffman and Tristan Janson both got wins by forfeit but went 2-0 in the matches they wrestled, both winning those matches via fall. Owen Nepple and Jake Hausman were the other matches on the mat with both taking home fall victories.
The Knights are in action this Saturday, December 10th when they compete in the Ogden Tournament.
