The Titans improved to 2-0 on the season, using strong close to the 1st half and start to the 2nd half. They started strong for the second game in a row, then held on in the 4th quarter as the Cougars made a run. The Titans opened up their lead in the 2nd quarter, going from up 3 to 13 by half. Their outside game continues to be a strength, hitting 12 of 30 shots from beyond the arc. They finished the game shooting 50% from the field and were efficient on offense, turning the ball over 7 times.
Eli Wheelock paced the offense with 21 points along with 7 rebounds. Tyler Lightner added 12 points and 4 of the teams 9 steals. Gavin Batta had 9 points and Andrew Anderson with 8 points off the bench. Keegan Soard pulled down 7 rebounds, tying Wheelock for the team lead.
The Titans step out of conference on Tuesday, traveling to Webster City who enters the game 1-0.

Coon Rapids Bayard remains undefeated with another great defensive effort. They held Stanton to single digits in three of the four quarters, allowing just 10 points in the 2nd quarter. The offense got rolling in the 2nd half, moving the ball well and finding the open guy. The blew the game open in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Vikings 23-7. Coon Rapids Bayard shot 72.7% from the field, hitting 32-44 shots including 4 of 10 shots from three. The defense forced a lot of turnovers as they finished the game with 16 steals.
Lance Clayburg continued his strong start to the season with 26 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists but had his biggest impact on defense with 7 steals. Cal Heydon added 17 points and 6 rebounds. Cade Behrens continues to play well with 13 points and 5 rebounds.
