Girls Wrestling Results Monday, December 5th
East Sac and Kuemper Girls At Sergeant Bluff Luton Invitational
Kuemper and East Sac were back in action on Monday, after competing in Audubon on Saturday, they headed to the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Invitational. There were 21 teams competing in the meet, which was broken down into a gold and silver bracket. Both teams wrestlers competed in the gold bracket. Kuemper wrestled five girls with East Sac wrestling two girls. The Knights finished 17th place with 34 points, having two girls place. The Raiders were 21st in the team standings with 11 points with one girl placing. Kuemper went 6-8 in matches wrestled, picking up 5 wins by fall and a major decision. East Sac was 1-3 in matches wrestled with their win by fall.
Grace Hoffman had the top finish for Kuemper, taking 3rd place at 110 pounds. Hoffman won her quarterfinal match by fall in 1:18, then fell in the semifinals. She won her 3rd place match by fall in 0:49. Sadie Smith (115 pounds) had the busiest night for the Knights, wrestling five matches. Olivya Mack was 1-1 for East Sac, taking 3rd place at 100 pounds. Mack lost in the semifinals but won her 3rd place match by fall (1:29).
