Carroll Boys At Boone Invitational
Carroll opened their season at the Boone Invitational on Saturday, after their season opening meet on Tuesday was postponed due to weather. The Tigers had an outstanding day at the unique meet. All the individual races are swam as two-man relays. The boys faired extremely well, taking 2nd place overall with 42 points, behind only Marshalltown who scored 72 points to win the meet. The Tigers won two events, taking second place in three more and third place in three more.
Kyle Sundrup, Ty Thomas, Tristan Blair and Leegan Sease won the 200 Free Relay, swimming a 1:36.65. Ty Thomas and Leegan Sease teamed up to win the 2×50 Free in 47.84. Tristan Blair and Kyle Sundrup were 2nd in the 2×200, Timothy Dose and Ty Thomas were 2nd in the 2×100 Fly, Caleb Blair and Tristan Blair teamed up for 2nd place in the 2×500 Free.
Leegan Sease had an outstanding meet with a 22.80 split in the 2×50 Free and a 22.72 split in the 200 Free Relay.
