Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: East Sac, SCC, and IKM-Manning Boys Cross Country in Action Saturday

Boys Cross Country Results for Saturday, October 15th

East Sac and South Central Calhoun at Twin Lakes Conference Meet at SE Valley

East Sac and South Central Calhoun were in action at a Twin Lakes Conference meet at Southeast Valley where both teams had solid times. East Sac finished second with 59 team points, behind meet winner Sioux Central. South Central Calhoun ended up in fifth place with 113 points, tied with Alta Aurelia. 

For East Sac, they ended the meet with three runners in the top ten. Parker Engel had the best time among our area athletes at this meet with a third place finish in a time of 17:53.35. Isaiah Aragon and Landon Sporrer finished close with each other in seventh and eighth place respectively. Aragon finished with a time of 18:12.09 and Sporrer was around two second slower at 18:14.70. Owen Engel was able to finish the course inside the top 20 with a 19th place finish in a time of 19:25.88. Wyatt Smith had the last solid time for the Raiders, finishing just outside the top 25 with a 26th place finish in a time of 19:51.14. 

South Central Calhoun had three guys finish inside the top 25. Tristan Blair led the team with a 13th place finish with a time of 18:59.85. Redge Potts continues to run well for the Titans, finishing 22nd overall in a time of 19:33.67. Joe Thielen was able to stay inside the top 25 with a 25th place finish with a time of 19:50.05. Other finishes for the Titans include Nathan Burley at 28th place with a time of 20:26.69 and Eli Wheelock at 30th place with a time of 20:39.23. 

Both South Central Calhoun and East Sac will be at Shenandoah for their state qualifying meet on Thursday, October 20th beginning at 4 PM.

          IKM-Manning at Missouri Valley

          The IKM-Manning Wolves had another strong showing Saturday when they ran at the Missouri Valley meet. They finished behind meet winner Woodbine with 52 team points. Woodbine won the meet with 25 team points. 

          Caden Keller had another stellar run as he’d finish third place with a time of 16:25.60. Reed Hinners is another one of the Wolves runners that’s competing well, finishing this course in seventh place with a time of 17:36.40. Nathan Johnson finished one place out of the top 10 at 11th with a final course time of 18:01.70. Camden Morris was just shy of making top 15, completing the course in 16th place with a time of 18:41.40. Abe Polzien gave the Wolves another solid placement finishing the day in 25th place with a time of 19:29.20. 

          The Wolves will be at ACGC on Thursday, October 20th for their state qualifying meet beginning around 4PM.
