Carroll played some of their best volleyball of the season in the 2nd set on Thursday, evening the match at a set apiece. They were not able to match their overall execution in sets three and four and fell to Bondurant Farrar in four. Carroll averaged 7 kills per set but hit -.053 for the match with only two girls about .000. They finished with 27 assists on their 28 kills. The back row averaged 17.3 digs per set, finishing with 69 digs while the front row added 7 blocks. Carroll served well at 98.6%, finishing with 5 aces.
Katelyn Aden led the Tigers with 8 kills, hitting .083 while Shay Sinnard had 6 kills and Camryn Schable had 5 kills. Kaitlyn Tigges had a team high 17 assists with Riley Nagl chipping in 8 assists. Madison Tunning led two players in the backrow with double figures in digs with 23. Shay Sinnard added 14 digs. Olivia Rowedder had a team high 3 blocks with Sinnard adding 2.
The loss drops Carroll to 7-13 overall and 1-4 in the Raccoon River Conference. They head to the Nevada on Saturday for tournament play.

Audubon was outstanding serving, helping them pick up a sweep of conference rival IKM-Manning on Thursday. The Wheelers served aggressively, finishing with 24 aces and a 84.9% serve percentage. A 4-0 (4 aces) service run by Harlow Miller in the first set, set the tempo for the rest of the night. The Wheelers built a 14-4 lead in the first set behind the serving of Miller, Audrey Jensen and Anna Larsen. The lead grew to 24-5 but IKM-Manning began to find some rhythm, picking up a pair of aces and scoring five straight points. The Wheelers pulled out the win but IKM-Manning used the late momentum from set one to hang close in set two. The Wolves led 9-8 as the set opened with five ties and five lead changes. Audubon grabbed the lead for good at 10-9, building the lead to 20-10. IKM-Manning again made a late run, pulling within 21-15. Audubon scored the final four points to go up 2-0. Set three started with several ties and a fewof lead changes with Audubon grabbing their final lead at 7-6. The Wolves tied the set at 10 but Audubon went on a 4-0 run to take control.
The Wheelers hit .245 at the net with 18 kills, while IKM-Manning finished with 8 kills and a -.114 hitting efficiency. Audubon ended the match with 21 digs and 9 blocks while IKM-Manning had 14 digs and 5 blocks. The Wolves added 6 aces.
Mattie Nielsen and Harlow Miller led Audubon with 6 kills each, Madison Steckler added 5 kills. Addie Hocker was outstanding, moving the ball around, finishing with 17 assists. Audrey Jensen paced the back row with 8 digs, while Mattie Nielsen finished with 6 digs. Harlow Miller had team high 4 blocks with Madison Steckler and Addie Hocker each having 2 blocks. Miller also led the Wheelers with 7 aces, Anna Larsen was fantastic at the service line as well with 5 aces. Audrey Jensen added 4 aces, Mattie Nielsen and Addie Hocker each had 3 aces.
Kylie Powers led IKM-Manning with 3 kills and Megan Williams added 2 kills. Amber Halbur had 4 of the teams 6 assists. Anna Stangl paced the back row with 5 digs, Emmie Ring added 3 digs. Ella Richards and Laura McCarville each had 2 aces.
The Wheelers improve to 9-10 overall and 1-4 in the Western Iowa Conference and will host Treynor on Tuesday. The Wolves fall to 1-10 overall and 0-5 in the WIC. They travel to AHSTW on Thursday.

Paton Churdan fell in 3 on Thursday on the road, falling to 0-11 overall and 0-3 in the Rolling Valley Conference. They battled hard, playing well in set three, falling 25-18. The Rockets finished with 14 kills with six players having at least one kill. They had assists on 10 of their 14 kills.
Paige Teeples had a team high 8 kills with Calleigh Fitzpatrick adding a pair of kills. Emma Stream added 7 assists and Bailey Anderson had 3 assists. Grace Cullum led the back row with 2 digs.
The Rockets host Ar-We-Va on Tuesday.

The East Sac Raiders rallied from a set one loss to win three straight sets against Emmetsburg Thursday night.
The E-Hawks got off to a strong start over the Raiders and were getting kills in empty spaces. Rachel Schany was one of those Emmetsburg players that made an impact in the front row, ending up with 12 kills. The Raiders fell short in set one by a score of 25-17. It was Kenna Meyer who sparked the offense for East Sac with three back to back ace serves to start off the second set. She continued to swing well and got plenty of kills to lead the Raiders to a 25-21 win. Meyer went back to the serving line in the third set and again got three ace serves in a row to continue to give her team the momentum. She ended up leading the team with 16 kills and seven aces overall. The E-Hawks early in the set kept pace with the Raiders tying the set at three and nine points. The Raiders were able to stay out in front by a few points at a time and cruised in the end to a 25-18 set three win to lead 2-1 in sets.
In the fourth set of the match, both teams were making some mistakes. Emmetsburg saw some struggles with passes and serve receives and some attacks from East Sac went into the net. Mary Bontrager set the ball well for the Raiders and Addisen Ehler took good advantage of overpasses from Emmetsburg and ended up with nine kills in the match. After some back and forth, the Raiders were able to keep their lead and win 25-20 in set four, winning 3-1 in sets. The win elevates the Raiders to 12-12 overall on the season and 4-3 in the Twin Lakes Conference.
East Sac returns to the court on Tuesday, September 27th as they host Southeast Valley.

South Central Calhoun continues to rack up win after win as they went 6-0 in sets in their home triangular with Pocahontas Area and Southeast Valley.
Against Pocahontas Area, the Titans played well throughout despite the Indians pushing back more and more each set. South Central Calhoun had their best set in the first set with a 25-17 win. Riley Batta was a leader offensively with the Titans ending the match with 13 kills. Pocahontas Area had some pushback in set two and were able to keep South Central Calhoun on their toes. Ultimately, the TItans kept out ahead and won set two 25-19. Set three saw more momentum swings between the Titans and Indians. South Central Calhoun stayed strong and ended up with a 25-20 win and the 3-0 match win in sets.
Other stat leaders for the Titans included Norah Riedesel and Elysia Smith who both had four aces, Brenna McAlister and Kylee Schliesman both had 13 digs, and Jayci Graeve who had 17 assists and three blocks.

In the second match for the South Central Calhoun Titans, they were able to sweep the Southeast Valley Jaguars in three sets.
Southeast Valley put up a good fight in the first set where ultimately, the Titans came out and won 25-18. Riley Batta saw some backup offensively in the form of Keira Hammen who put up 13 kills, second to Batta’s 15 kills. The Jaguars kept their fight up in set two but still didn’t find the answers as South Central Calhoun won 25-17. The tank for Southeast Valley was becoming empty in set three where the Titans pulled out all the stops and ended up winning 25-13 and 3-0 in sets. Jayci Graeve did a nice job setting the ball with 32 assists and Riedesel again led the team with four ace serves.
The two wins elevate the Titans to 28-5 overall on the season and 7-0 in the Twin Lakes Conference. They have a big conference matchup on Thursday, September 29th when they take on Manson NW Webster.

The Coon Rapids Bayard Crusaders had two strong performances late in their three set match against Woodbine Thursday, but they ultimately fell short.
The Crusaders didn’t get the start they wanted in set one where the Tigers came away with a 25-15 win. Despite the slow start, the Crusaders started to gain some momentum in set two. Head Coach Marissa Dembinski says their offense was clicking and they were scrappy on the defensive end. The Crusaders fought hard and put up some great points, but fell just short in set two 25-19. Anna Hart and Malia Clayburg were the heartbeat of the offense as they both put up five kills each. The defense also had some big plays with Lacie Davis leading the team with 17 digs and Anna Hart putting up 11 digs. In set three, Coon Rapids Bayard fought until the very end and had a chance to force extra points. In the end, Woodbine was victorious with a final set score of 25-22, winning the match 3-0 in sets.
The loss drops the Crusaders to 5-16 overall on the season and 2-3 in the Rolling Valley Conference. They return to the court on Thursday, September 29th when they take on Boyer Valley.
