Ar-We-Va evened their record at 2-2 overall while improving to 2-1 in district play with a steady home win over River Valley. The Rockets built an early lead, then hung on in the 4th quarter for the double digit win. The Rockets defense was sharp against the run, holding the Wolverines to 48 yards on 28 carries for 1.7 yards per carry. River Valley was able to have success through the air, completing 12 passes for 359 yards and 4 touchdowns. Ar-We-Va did have a pair of interceptions. The Rockets had a nice balance on offense, rushing for over 260 yards and passing for 180 yards.

Ar-We-Va led 14-6 at the end of the 1st quarter, extending the lead to 33-24 at half. The defense was sharp in the second half, allowing just 6 points in the 3rd quarter and 8 in the fourth quarter while the offense scored 18 points in the half.

Blayne Smith completed 14-25 passes for 180 yards and 4 touchdowns while throwing 2 interceptions. Wyatt Ragaller had 120 yards on 21 carries and caught 6 passes for 47 yards, scoring 3 overall touchdowns. Wade Ragaller carried the ball 24 times for 142 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns. Devon Ehlers made a pair of touchdown catches. Wade Ragaller added 12 tackles, Harley Molina had 8 tackles and Emmett Neumann finished with 7 tackles.

The Rockets play at Siouxland Christian on Friday.
