The Glidden Ralston Wildcats improved their season record to 2-2 Friday night when they took on Siouxland Christian in a defensive showcase.
Glidden Ralston got off to a nice start in the first half, putting up 16 points in the first quarter and eight in the second to lead 24-6. The Wildcats’ offense did see much success with Colby Wallace running in three touchdowns and Ethan Olberding running in another one, but the defense was the stars of the show. As a team, Glidden Ralston picked off the Eagles six times and Kyler Eischeid picked up a fumble for a touchdown. The Wildcats kept their momentum in the second half by shutting out Siouxland Christian and putting up 20 more points. The Wildcats closed out the game with a 44-6 win, snapping a two-game skid.
Glidden Ralston is on the road this Friday when they take on River Valley.
