Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Audubon Football Breaks Two Game Losing Streak With Win Over Boyer Valley

The Audubon Wheelers broke a two-game skid to get back into the win column with a dominant win over Boyer Valley in week two Friday. 

The Wheeler came out swinging in the first quarter as they put up 30 points in that quarter alone, while the Wheeler defense allowed only one score from the Bulldogs. The rushing game worked very well for the Wheelers, with quarterback Aaron Olsen running in three touchdowns for 179 yards off 18 carries. Manny Beisswenger had a strong running game as well, scrambling for two touchdowns off 84 yards and five carries. Audubon got one more score into the endzone before halftime to lead 36-7. 

Not only was the offense on point, but the defense was too for the Wheelers. Evan Alt led the team with 8.5 total tackles, seven of those he got on his own. Gavin Larsen was also a threat with six solo tackles in this game. Audubon kept their offense going in the second half, putting up 14 points and keeping Boyer Valley to six points. The Wheelers rebounds in week 2 with a 50-13 victory over Boyer Valley. 

The win elevates the Wheelers to 1-2 overall on the season. They are on the road this week when they take on Fremont Mills.
