Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Kuemper Boys Cross Country Dominates at West Central Valley Meet Thursday

Boys Cross Country Results for Thursday, September 1st

Kuemper and Audubon at West Central Valley Boys

 

The Kuemper and Audubon cross country teams started off the month of September with solid times all around at the West Central Valley meet Thursday.

The Knights, like the girls’ team, were able to win the meet with 39 total points, beating out the Interstate 35 boys’ team. Ryan North and Jacob Greving both came away from this meet with top-five finishes. North had the best finish among our area athletes at this meet finishing second with a time of 17:48.67. Jacob Greving kept good pace with him with a third-place finish in a time of 17:53.82. Kuemper had five other runners that finished inside the top 25 to solidify their meet-winning performances. Thomas Pottebuam finished 10th overall with a time of 19:29.81, Fletch Badding was right behind him at 11th with a time of 19:35.76, and not far behind was Dayton Wiederien at 13th place with a time of 19:46.33. In the 20s was Colton Hagen who finished 20th with a time of 20:19.61 and Jacob McCarger at 22nd with a time of 20:30.43.

 

Audubon’s two runners, Eli Deist and Mason Steckler kept pace with each other but had slightly slower times compared to the LoMa meet. Deist finished 41st overall with a time of 22:53.61 and behind him was Steckler who finished 42nd with a time of 22:55.41.

Coon Rapids Bayard at Madrid

 

Landon Cook of the Coon Rapids Bayard boys cross country team was the lone runner for the Crusaders at Madrid and improved his time. He was able to secure a 19th place finish in a time of 19:54.01. His time at the Woodward Granger meet was 20:32.30, finishing nearly a minute better at Madrid.
