South Central Calhoun

South Central Calhoun will have a different look this season with longtime coach Brian Knapp retiring. The cupboard isn’t bare as both the girls and boys had plenty of young runners last season. Breanne Patterson, a sophomore this season and junior Chloe Judish were two of the top runners for the girls last season. Both finished  in the top 5 at the conference meet last season with Patterson 3rd and Judisch 4th. They both should be stronger this season. They will have plenty of runners pushing them in practice and meets. Evelyn Kramer, Adlen Wheelock, Mady Smidt and Samantha Potts all had good meets last season.

Tristan Blair is the top returning runner for the boys and should be the leader this season but there is plenty of depth. Eli Wheelock had a very good junior season as did Tyler Lightner and Nathan Burley. Those three add good depth and leadership. Nik Whipkey and Matt Nath will also fight for bigger roles this season.

Below is a list of the top returners from last season.
