Carroll evened their record at 12-12 with a commanding win on the road, getting a nice pitching performance from Caden Johnson and home runs from Jordan Matthewson and Parker Ingram. They out hit Jefferson City 12 to 4 with 4 extra base hits. The game was tight until the 6th when the Merchants scored 5-runs to expand the lead to 7-0. 

Hunter Reid singled in the 4th inning, scoring Jordan Matthewson to give the Merchants a 1-0 lead. They added a run in the 5th with a solo home run from Parker Ingram. The Merchants put the game away in the 6th with 5-runs. Jordan Matthewson had a 2-run home run, scoring Seth Christansen. That was followed by a single by Michael Alt that scored Noah Dutler and Danny Schweitzer. Parker Ingram picked up his second RBI of the game with a double to score Andrew Schroeder. 

Parker Ingram and Jordan Matthewson both had 3 hits with both doubling and hitting a home run. Matthewson’s home run was a 2-run shot while Ingram had a solo home run. Michael Alt and Hunter Reid both had 2 hits. Alt had 2 RBI and Reid added an RBI. Caden Johnson picked up the win, going 6 innings, allowing 4 hits and striking out 4. 

The Merchants will travel to Des Moines to play the Peak on Saturday.
