Kuemper took advantage of 8 errors by Tri Center, scoring 7 unearned runs, picking up a huge road win against a good team. The Knights took the lead for the good with 3-runs in the 1st inning, then continued to build on that lead, with 4-runs in the 3rd inning and 5 more runs in the 4th. Kuemper had a chance to put the game away in 5 innings leading 14-2 going into the bottom 5th but Tri Center hit two home runs in the 5th, then added a 3-run home run in the 6th after the Knights had went back ahead 17-5. Kuemper out hit the Trojans 12 to 7 with only two extra base hits. Tri Center had four home runs in their 7 hits.
Koby Lampman tripled in the 1st inning to score Cal Wanninger and Trevor Rial putting Kuemper up 3-0. Tri Center answered with a pair of runs in the bottom 1st but didn’t score again until the 5th inning. John Boes drove in a pair of runs in the 3rd inning, and Logan Sibenaller walked to score a run in the 3rd. The Knights scored 4-runs on two hits in the inning but missed a chance to score more, leaving the bases loaded. Sibenaller hit a shot over the left field fence in the 4th. His 2-run home run, coupled with a couple Trojan errors helped Kuemper score 5 runs and take a 12-2 lead. Kuemper added two more runs in the 5th and looked to be ending the game early but Tri Center got a solo home run from Jaxson Johnson and a 2-run home run by Michael Turner, his second of the game. Cal Wanninger hit a single to score a pair of runs in the 6th but Justice Weers hit a 3-run home run in the bottom 6th to extend the game. The Knights led 17-8 heading into the 7th. They loaded the bases and Wanniger picked up a pair of RBI with a base hit to right field. The Knights scored 4-runs in the inning and went on to win 21-8.
Cal Wanninger finished with a team high 4 hits, he added 4 runs driven in and scored 3 times. Logan Sibenaller, Trevor Rial and John Boes all had 2 hits. Sibenaller had a 2-run home run, Rial scored 4 times and Boes had a pair of RBI. Logan Sibenaller pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowed 7 hits and 7 earned runs with 4 strikeouts.
The win improves them to 14-11 overall. They play Pocahontas Area at the Kuemper Tournament on Saturday.

It was a tough night for the Tigers on Wednesday, leaving nine runners on base, and committing 10 errors, giving up 6 unearned runs as they fell on the road. Bondurant Farrar took advantage of Carroll miscues early, building a 9-2 lead after the 2nd inning. The two Tiger runs came off a 2-run home run by Nolan Mohr . Carroll didn’t score again until the 6th when Dreylan Schweitzer scored on an error. Carroll was able to hold the Blue Jays in check after the 2nd inning, allowing a run in the 5th was all.
Nolan Mohr hit a 2-run home run, scoring Ethan Loew. He finished with 1 hit as did Ethan Loew, Evan Loew, Chase Ragaller who doubled, Stone Sibenaller and Austin Finneran all had base hits.
The loss drops Carroll to 1-19 overall and 0-11 in the Raccoon River Conference. The Tigers host Carlisle on Thursday.

Coon Rapids Bayard swept both ends of the doubleheader, winning the second game in 4 innings. The Crusaders scored 5-times in the 2nd inning and 8 more in the 4th inning. East Sac out hit Manson NW Webster 10 to 4 and picked up their second win of the season. A 5-run 3rd inning gave them the advantage and they held on after that. The 3rd inning, put the Raiders on top 5-2 but the Cougars tried to rally. They scored 2-runs in the bottom 3rd, cutting the Raider lead to 5-4. East Sac added runs in the 4th and 7th innings.
Luke Wright drove in 3-runs and Bradyn Burns had a pair of hits and 2 RBI. Luke Wernimont led the team with 3 hits along with scoring twice. Aden Vondrak scored twice. Karter Ludwig got the win, going 2 2/3 IP, with 2 hits and 1 earned runs. He struck out a team high 3 batters.
The win improves East Sac to 2-9 overall and 2-7 in the TLC. The Raiders host West Bend Mallard on Friday.
