The Merchants tied the game in the top of the 8th, but fell in the 9th inning on Monday night. Carroll out hit Chillicothe 10 to 6 but hurt themselves with 4 errors, giving up 3 unearned runs. Chillicothe gave the Merchants 1 unearned run. Carroll led the game several times, going up 2-1 in the 2nd inning, then taking a 7-6 lead into the 6th. Chillicothe scored a pair of runs in the 7th to take a one run lead but Carroll tied it again in the 8th.
Seth Christiansen singled, driving in a pair of runs in the 2nd inning. Kyle Berg tied the game at 3 with an RBI in the 3rd inning. A 2 RBI single by Parker Ingram and a single driving in a run by Kaleb Freeman in the 6th helped Carroll build a 6-4 lead. Parker Ingram extended in to 7-4, stealing home on a double steal. Kaleb Freeman added to his RBI total with a walk in the 8th.
