The game slipped away late from the Tigers as the Dodgers scored 3-runs on a double in the 6th inning to open the game up as Carroll falls to 0-2 on the season. Ethan Loew was outstanding on the hill, going 5 2/3 innings, giving 5 hits while striking out 4. Carroll took the lead early with a run in the 2nd inning when Nolan Mohr grounded out, scoring a run. The lead held until the 5th inning when the Dodgers tied it, setting up the big 6th inning. They loaded the bases and before a double cleared them putting them up 4-1, they added an insurance run later in the inning.
Carroll left 8 runners on base, picking up two hits. Cooper Ludwig and Ethan Loew each had a hit for Carroll. Tate Schleisman walked twice.
The Tigers will look for their first win on Monday when they host Gilbert.

Glidden Ralston picked up 7 hits and scored 8 runs on Friday night but fell to 0-2 on the season, losing to AC-GC 19-8. The Chargers scored 6-runs in both the 1st and 2nd inning to build a 12-3 lead. Glidden Ralston swung it well early answering with a 3-run bottom of the 1st but the bats cooled until the 4th and 5th innings, allowing the Chargers to extend the lead to 14-4. The Wildcats 2-run 4th inning extended the game until the 6th inning when the Charges scored twice and held the Wildcats scoreless in the bottom half.
Mark Lensch had a big night at the plate, going 3-3 with 3 RBI with a double and a run scored. Jackson Sklenar drove in a pair of runs and Caden Wenck scored twice.
Glidden Ralston heads to South Central Calhoun on Monday.
