Tennis Boys Substate Results for Wednesday, May 18th

The Kuemper Knights season saw their season come to a close as they hosted Denison Schleswig and Kuemper at their Substate meet Wednesday afternoon. Kuemper was up against Spencer for the right to take on Denison Schleswig later in the day. The Knights were able to take some sets from Spencer, winning 14 sets overall on the day, but the Tigers ended up being too much for the Knights. Sam Janssen had the strongest day among the Knights as he went up against Charlie Steele. Janssen was able to win four sets over Steele in the first match, and two sets in match two, but unfortunately fell 6-4 and 6-2. Jared Hausman and Max Reincke were able to take three sets from their opponents in set one, but fell 6-3 and later fell 6-0 in set two. Hans Kraus and Jake Hausman both fell 6-0 in their first sets and 6-1 in sets two.

Charlie Steele of Spencer won 6-4, 6-2 over Sam Janssen of Kuemper

Sam Feldmann of Spencer won 6-3, 6-0 over Jared Hausman of Kuemper

Riley DeWitt of Spencer won 6-0, 6-1 over Hans Kraus of Kuemper

Evan Johnson of Spencer won 6-0, 6-1 over Jake Hausman of Kuemper

Parker Bergstadt of Spencer won 6-3, 6-0 over Max Reincke of Kuemper
