Wilma Roneus had a pair of goals on Saturday morning as the Raiders tried to rally after falling behind early to Denison Schleswig but the rally fell short. The Monarchs took an early lead with goals at 18:26 and 5:40 but East Sac battled back to trail 2-1 at half after a goal from Wilma Roneus at 2:08. The Raiders had momentum going into the half but weren’t able to maintain in the 2nd half as Denison Schleswig added goals at 32:07 and 22:50 to lead 4-1. Roneus cut the lead to 4-2 with her second goal at 10:18.
Wilma Roneus scored both of the Raiders goals and Aleisha Thayer finished with 12 saves. East Sac ends the regular season 4-9. They open the postseason on Wednesday at Western Christian.
