A great defensive effort and a pair of goals, helped the Kuemper girls grab a road win on Thursday. The Knights led 1-0 at half on a goal by Kenya Prescott at the 36:00 mark. The defense was solid all night with Ashlyn Badding making 13 stops in goal. LoMa did score in the 2nd half but Prescott added a goal at the 26:00 mark on an assist by Karly Baumhover, who then scored her own goal at 21:00 in the 2nd half on an assist by Kiley Trecker.
The Knights finished with 14 shots on goal with Kenya Prescott leading the team with 3, Clare Janson, Karly Baumhover and Jordyn Schulte all had 2 shots on goal. Ashlyn Badding had 13 saves in the net.
The win improves Kuemper to 8-7 as they head to Glenwood on Friday.

Carroll trailed 2-0 at half as the Tigers played well on both ends. The Tigers passed the ball better, moving the ball up field. The defense was also sharp in the 1st half. The Huskies found more success in the 2nd half, scoring 6 goals and keeping Jayden Kirsch busy. Kirsch finished with 27 saves, including several fantastic plays in goal. Carroll was unable to get a shot on goal against the Huskies defense.
Carroll falls to 4-10 on the season. They host Ballard on Friday.
