Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Carroll, Kuemper, CRB, Glidden Ralston Girls in Conf Meets, Audubon and IKIM-Manning held Duals

Girls Golf Results Monday, May 9th 

Carroll At Raccoon River Conference Meet At Winterset

Erin Winker of Carroll earned All-Conference honors with a 9th place finish today as the Tigers took 4th place with a 427 at the conference meet. Gilbert won the team championship with a 368, followed by Winterset 393 and ADM 397. The Tigers had three players finish in the top 20 with Delaney Schurke in 14th place with a 106 and Ashlee Danner in 16th with a 107.  Eden Lorhbach of Gilbert was medalist with an 80 and Jaya West of Winterset was runner-up medalist with a 83.

Winker was steady most of the day, shooting a 50-51 with a par on the front 9 and back 9. Delaney Schurke shot a 106 with a 53-54 with a par on the front 9. Ashlee Danner finished with a 107 with a 53-54 and Makalei Kofron shot a 55-58 for a 113.

The Tigers host Denison Schleswig on Thursday at the Muni.

Kuemper At Hawkeye 10 Conference Meet At Red Oak 

Grace Tigges was the only golfer for Kuemper, finishing her round with a 128, shooting a 62-66. She finished 38th place overall. Atlantic won the meet with a 429, Creston also shot a 429 with St Albert in 3rd place with a 441.

The Knights head to Jefferson for Regionals on Friday.

Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston At Rolling Valley Conference Meet at Atlantic. 

Emma Hart of Coon Rapids Bayard claimed the conference individual title with Addie Boell of Glidden Ralston also earning All-Conference honors with a 5th place finish. The Crusaders lost a tight match to Boyer Valley for the conference crown with Coon Rapids Bayard shooting a 324 and Boyer Valley a 321. They were the only teams to have enough golfers for a team score.

Emma Hart shot a 101, to win medalist honors over Maci Miller of Boyer Valley, who shot a 102. Hart shot 52-49, with a 3 on the front 9 and a pair of 4’s on the back 9. Addie Boell tied Mackenzie Dunbaugh of Boyer Valley with a 107, but placed 5th, shooting a 52-55. Boell had a pair of 4’s on the front 9. Elizabeth Lloyd of Glidden Ralston shot a 122, going 61-61 with a 4 on the back 9. Brynn Bass of Coon Rapids Bayard finished with a 124, shooting 56-68 with a 4 on the front and back 9’s. Morgan Hart of Coon Rapids Bayard, shot a 126, with a 60-66 with a 4 on the back 9. Macy Winnett added a 131 for Coon Rapids Bayard with a 61-70. She had a 4 on the back 9. Breanne Schon shot 139 for Glidden Ralston with a 70-69 adding a 4 on the front 9.

Audubon At LoMa

Audubon battled the heat on Monday, falling in a dual for the first time since April. The Wheelers shot a 237 with three of their four scores in the 50’s while LoMa finished with a 218 on their home course with all four of their scores in the 50’s. Macanna Guritz of LoMa won medalist honors with a 52 and her teammate Kali Collins finished as runner-up medalist with a 54. Allison Elmquist led the Wheelers with a 55. Elmquist was very consistent, having all of her scores between 6 and 9. Kali Irlmeier fired a 56 for the Wheelers, with a pair of 4’s. Kacie Anthofer added a 58 with seven of her nine holes at 7 or under. Sienna Albertsen shot a 68 for the Wheelers, sinking a nice 20 foot put on number 7.

The Wheelers head to Don Williams by Ogden for Regionals on Friday.

Riverside At IKM-Manning

Kylie Powers of IKM-Manning earned runner-up medalist with a 47 helping the Wolves win by 13 strokes. The Wolves shot a 232 while Riverside shot a 245. Addison Brink of Riverside won medalist with a 46. Powers finished with 3-4’s on the day. Maeve Nielsen shot a 61 with a 4, Brooke Booth and Megan Williams both shot 62. Williams had a 3 on number 5.

The Wolves host their tournament on Thursday.
