Kuemper At Carroll At Carroll Muni

Kuemper 148

Carroll 161

Kuemper ended up winning the dual on Friday by 13 strokes but with a couple holes left for each of the three pairing the Knights lead was under 5. Kayden Schon, Maverick Schwabe and Carter Putney all shot in the 30’s for Kuemper which helped them extend their lead late. Drew Munson of Carroll earned medalist honors thanks in part to a consistent round and getting to play in the same pairing as Maverick Schwabe. Munson says Schwabe pushed him the entire round and forced him to make putts. Schwabe finished with a 35, a stroke behind Munson, who shot a 34, but Kayden Schon, who was even par heading into his final 3 holes earned runner-up medalist honors, also shooting a 35.

Munson led Carroll and all scorers with a 34, finishing with 6 pars and 2 birdies. Schon kept pace with his 35, picking up 3 birdies and 4 pars. Schwabe scored a 35 for Kuemper, with 3 birdies and 3 pars. Carter Putney scored a 38 for the Knights with a birdie and 5 pars. Tyler Auen added a 40 for the Knights with 4 pars. Bryce Berlau fired a 41 for Carroll, having 5 pars, Will Ragaller battled for a 42, with 6 pars and Miles Bogue shot a 44 for Carroll with 4 pars and a birdie, closing with a 3, 3, 4, 3.

Both teams will compete at the Larry Clark Invitational on Saturday at the Country Club.
