Girls Soccer Results for Tuesday, April 26th

Boone at Carroll

Carroll 1

Boone 0

Carroll notched their first win of the season as they got past Boone Tuesday afternoon. For a large portion of the contest, both teams were trying to get past their defenses, but Carroll had some good looks. Emersyn Walsh kept the Toreadors on the heels of their feet as she attempted four shots on goal while Paige Potthoff, Sophia Polking, and Macey Weber all had a shot on goal. The stalemate was broken with 26:42 left in the second half as Walsh got a pass from Potthoff to get the Tigers on the board at 1-0. That would be the only goal of the game as Carroll’s defense kept Boone away from their goal, and when they did get to Carroll’s net, Jayden Kirsch was there with the save. She put up a solid 17 saves in total, aiding the Tigers to their eventual 1-0 win over Boone. With this win, the Tigers improved to 1-5 overall on the season. They are back in action on Thursday, April 28th when they take on East Sac over in Wall Lake.

Carroll Stats

Jayden Kirsch: 17 Saves

West Sioux at East Sac

West Sioux 7

East Sac 1

East Sac did everything they could to catch up with West Sioux in the second half, but the Falcons were too much for a stretched thin Raiders team Tuesday. West Sioux wasted little time getting on the board as they scored in the first three minutes of the first half. East Sac came into this game with a limited number of substitutions, so they had to play as focused as they could. The Falcons added three more goals throughout the first half to take a 4-0 lead into halftime over East Sac.

In the second half, the East Sac defense held off the Falcons for a big chunk of time, but West Sioux struck again with 15 minutes off the clock. The lone East Sac goal came from Davanee Boger, scored with 20 minutes left in the contest. In the final 10 minutes of the contest, West Sioux was able to net two more goals and walked away with a 7-1 victory over the Raiders.

The Raiders fall to 1-4 overall on the season. They return to the pitch on Thursday April 28th when they host Carroll.

East Sac Stats

Davanee Boger: 1 Goal

Addisen Ehler: 11 Saves

Wilma Roneus: 3 Shots on Goal
