Boys Golf Results for Monday, April 25th
Carroll at ADM
Carroll’s top golfers closed out Monday’s meet at ADM with some solid performances, but ADM was just a little better. ADM’s top golfer, Easton Korell, closed out his day two shots above the course par with a 38 and aided ADM to a team win over Carroll with a team score of 157, compared to Carroll’s 176. Despite the team loss and the windy conditions, Carroll had some good individual performances.
Drew Munson shot four strokes over par for a score of 40. His day consisted of pars on holes one, two, four, seven, and eight and his worst score was a bogey on holes three, five, and nine. Ragaller continued to shoot well on the season as he ended his day with a score of 43. He started off a little rough, including a quadruple bogey on hole four, but cleaned up his performance with pars from holes six through nine. Conner Kirsch was close behind Ragaller as he recorded a 45. Kirsch had similar troubles with hole four, including a double bogey on hole one and bogey on hole two, but ended up with good looks on holes five, seven, and nine, recording pars. Bryce Berlau rounded out the scoring with a score of 48. His best hole was a par on hole two. The Tigers are back on the course on Tuesday, April 26th when they travel to Manson NW Webster.

Kuemper at Harlan
Kuemper had a solid day on the course during a windy day, taking home second place at Harlan and had consistency among their top four golfers. Harlan was able to edge out the Knights by three strokes to claim victory with a score of 185. Maverick Schwabe was one of the top golfers on the day as he ended with a score of 43 and earned runner-up medalist honors. Benicio Lujano kept the consistency for Kuemper going as he ended his day with a score of 46. Carter Puntey and Kayden Schon closed out the scoring for Kuemper with scores of 48 each. The Knights are back in action on Thursday, April 28th when they host Denison Schleswig and Lewis Central.

Glidden Ralston at Coon Rapids Bayard
Coon Rapids Bayard hosted Glidden Ralston and other Rolling Valley Conference golf teams on a windy and chilly Monday afternoon in Coon Rapids. Despite the conditions, the Crusaders were able to take home a second-place finish as a team with a score of 180. First place was taken by Boyer Valley who nipped Coon Rapids Bayard by nine strokes for a score of 171. Glidden Ralston finished up their day on the course with a score of 212.
Preston McAlister and Toby Benninger both had solid days on the course, with both golfers finishing with scores of 43. McAlister told Carroll Broadcasting he felt his second shots and putts were the best parts of his performance and he’s excited to learn from new head coach David Van Ahn. Jacob Estrada contributed well to the team score, ending his day with a 45. Trey Rosenbeck rounded out the scoring for the Crusaders with a final score of 49.
Caden Smith led the Wildcats at the end of the day with a score of 48. He was able to get a birdie on hole two and a bogey on hole three. Caden Wenck was one stroke behind Smith, finishing up his time on the course with a score of 49. Cale Klocke was next as his day ended with a score of 56. Finally, John Whitver’s day on the course closed with a score of 59.
Up next for both teams, Coon Rapids Bayard will host another meet on Thursday, April 28th, and Glidden Ralston will compete in the SE Valley Tournament on Friday, April 29th.

Audubon at Treynor
Audubon traveled to Treynor on Monday and while they didn’t win as a team, they came away with good scores individually. Treynor was dominant on the course despite the windy conditions, going on to beat Audubon by 20 strokes for a score of 172. Jay Remsburg was the top golfer at the meet, ending the day with a score of 41 and being named medalist. He recorded a par on holes one, eight, and nine and a birdie on hole four. Gavin Smith’s performance on the course concluded with a score of 48. He was able to record a par on hole four and had bogeys on the final three holes of the course. Edward Miller and Evan Alt had scores that were one off from each other, Miller recording a 51 and Alt a 52. The Wheelers’ week of competition continues on Tuesday, April 26th when they travel with the girl’s golf team to Tri Center.

IKM-Manning at Underwood
IKM-Manning’s day on the course was solid overall with one of their golfers awarded medalist honors in a close bout with Underwood Monday. The Eagles narrowly edged out the Wolves by six strokes to win the meet with a score of 191. Max Nielsen had the best day overall among all golfers, shooting three strokes above par with a 39 and was awarded medalist honors. Wyatt Buckholdt from Underwood was the runner up medalist with a score of 44. IKM-Manning had good consistency with their other top golfers. Luke Ramsey closed out his day with a score of 51, followed by Josh Walker who ended his day with a score of 52. Devyn Sander rounded out the scoring for IKM-Manning with a score of 55. The Wolves continue their week of meets with a home meet against LoMa on Tuesday, April 26th.
