Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Kuemper Boys Tennis Clobbers St. Edmond, Audubon with Singles Wins Against CB Thomas Jefferson Monday

Boys Tennis Results for Monday, April 25th

 

St Edmond at Kuemper

The Kuemper Knights only dropped one match as they were able to get past St Edmond Monday afternoon. Despite the colder weather, the Knights had a successful day overall, going 56-24 in singles matches and 30-11 in doubles matches. The lone match loss for the Knights was when Sam Janssen narrowly lost by a score of 10-6 to Joseph Li. Hans Kraus had the best match among the Knights in singles, defeating Sam Meyer by a score of 10-1. Jared Hausman had to fight for his win in singles but was able to pull away with a 10-5 win against Lucas Kornder. 

In doubles, Janssen and Jared Hausman were in a back-and-forth match against Li and Meyer. While the duo from St. Edmond almost pulled away, but Janssen and Jared Hausman were able to secure a 10-7 victory. Jake Hausman teamed up with Max Reinke in doubles as they were close to sweeping Casten Wacholtz and Tyler Rossmanith, but settled for a 10-1 win. 

The Knights return to the court on Thursday, April 26th when they travel to take on the Wheelers of Audubon.

Jared Hausman of Kuemper won 10-5 over Lucas Kornder of St Edmond

Josh Langel of Kuemper won 10-3 over Tyler Rossmanith of St Edmond

Hans Kraus of Kuemper won 10-1 over Sam Meyer of St Edmond

Jake Hausman of Kuemper won 10-3 over Casten Wacholtz of St Edmond

Jared Craig of Kuemper won 10-2 over Elias Kolacia of St Edmond

 

Doubles

Sam Janssen and Jared Hausman of Kuemper won 10-7 over Joseph Li and Sam Meyer of St Edmond

Josh Langel and Hans Kraus of Kuemper won 10-3 over Lucas Kornder and Tyler Rossmanith of St Edmond

Jake Hausman and Max Reinke of Kuemper won 10-1 over Casten Wacholtz and Elias Kolacia of St Edmond

 

Audubon at Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson

Audubon came away with two singles match wins and some solid playing in doubles against Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson Monday. The Wheelers had some struggles so far this season but were able to have a solid record of 28-35 in singles and 8-16 in doubles. Sawyer McClain and Aidan Griffith both recorded wins in their singles matches. McClain had little trouble against Gavin Belt, winning his match 8-1. Griffith saw similar success as he got past Antonio Rosado 8-2. Both Jake Mundt and James Collin played well in their singles matches but fell short by scores of 8-4. In doubles, the teams of Eli Deist and Connor Christensen and Jack Stanerson and Aidan Griffith were close to victory but were unable to capture wins falling by scores of 8-4. The Wheelers focus their attention to Tuesday, April 26th when they travel to take on Atlantic.
