Boys Track Results for Friday, April 22nd
South Central Calhoun at Pocahontas
South Central Calhoun traveled to Pocahontas to compete in the Pokey Relays Friday. The Titans had some solid performances, which resulted in a fifth-place finish in the Class B standings with 75 points.
Jayden Soard was impressive in the field events, ending the day with three first place finishes. He won the discus event with a best throw of 126-03, the long jump with a best jump of 19-11.50, and the shot put with a best throw of 48-00.00. Redge Potts and Andrew Anderson were able to secure third-place finishes for the Titans. Potts finished third in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:36.36 and Anderson in the high jump with a best jump of 5-06.00. Anderson teamed up with Kaden Dorman, Cole Higgins, and Zakiah Pettigrew in the shuttle hurdle relay where they got third with a time of 1:15.00. The Titans return to action on Tuesday, April 26th when they travel to Manson NW Webster along with the Carroll and East Sac track teams.

Coon Rapids Bayard at Newell Fonda
The Coon Rapids Bayard Crusaders had a good showing at the Newell Fonda Mustang Relays on Friday. The Crusaders ended the meet in fifth place as a team with 67 points. They were successful in both individual and relay events. Omarion Floyd captured the win in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.90. Kolby Culbertson also claimed victory in his individual event, winning the 400-meter dash in a time of 53.50. The Crusaders brought home one more win as they won the 4X100 relay. Easton Hays, Raiden Doty, Tanner Oswald, and Gabe Obert finished with a time of 45.00. Those same runners also took home second place in the 4X200 with a time of 1:35.40. The Crusaders will travel with other area teams to Audubon for a meet on Tuesday, April 26th.
